Linux wise, the development of this SOC may end up as glacial slow as the RK3588, even though it has a more established GPU. Android is where this SOC will shine best.
We are in a better position with the open-source GPU driver. I'm not sure if we need a newer kernel, or that there are other issues. But I'm confident we will get better support compared to the RK3399.

Depends on your use. The Android image runs better than Linux. If you want to use it as a Linux machine, I'd wait for a newer image.
