They never evolved to need a tail as a weapon, it's mainly for balance when leaping and they use them to help them walk. Our version of the coyote, the dingo, is the top land predator and they've only been here for around 8000 years.

I know from many zoologists that kangaroos' legs are very powerful and can do serious damage to a human, but it's amazing to see how GRACEFUL them being able to balance on their tails makes their movements seem. It really changes the perception of how hard they're fighting and how much damage they can cause. Amazing.
You'll notice that both kangaroos were also leaning their heads back to avoid getting blinded by each other's claws. These fights can look very graceful, but yeah, kangaroos are big and powerful animals and their fights can actually get pretty brutal.

No, this is not a common occurrence especially in the capital cities. You will start to spot them at the outer fringes of the cities, bushland and around small towns. They look cute but beware, they are very strong, their legs can kill you with their kicks and their arms and paws could severely scratch you and even kill you. Stay away from them, otherwise they aren't a dangerous animal, they will normally want to get away from you unless they're distressed and then they'll attack as mentioned. The Red kangaroos from the outback/deserts are bigger and stronger and are more wild, be a lot more careful around them too. You never see them around cities or bush land, they're more inland kangaroos. They can be very big and tall, the ones in this video would be close to 6 foot tall and kan grow to over 2 meters, well over 6 to 7 feet tall.

FroggieTheR0gue That area looks like it is quite recently built on so there is probably heaps of bush nearby and from the light it appears to be very early in the morning..that's when they like to get active..also at dusk..where I live I often see 20 to 30 of them in a mob..but I have never seen them going at it like these boys in a suburban street..they are only dangerous to people if they are backed up against a fence and you decide to take one on..usually they just stop and eyeball you and then move on..noble creatures.
