Anyone else noticed C'Thun's buffs are now a permanent stat change instead of enchantments? The main is difference is that now he can't lose them to Silence.
There are other meme level minor benefits as well, like being able to actually double stats with Lor'themar.
Wait, So He Just Gains That Attack and Health, and He just Has It, and Thats his Attack and Health Now.

Back when I first seen blade of C'Thun I thought it was the craziest card ever, it's great that it's 6 mana now, young me didn't know how unplayable it was at 9
Most of the time I saw Blade of C'Thun played it was a 1 mana 1/1 anyway ;)
6 mana removal with a body AND a buff would have been broken back then.

I used to play blade in a jade rogue deck. Wasn’t very good but watching the opponent have a “bruh” moment hovering over the card and trying to figure out why it’s in the deck was always funny.
That insane unluckiness with the Warlock into getting exactly the one card in the deck you needed at exactly lethal was incredible. Wonderful video as always, Roffle.

Its amazing hearing him mention that 3 cost rogue card. Everyone was immediately saying it'd be in every roffle deck and now he is confirming how excited he is for it.
having watched the RAWs, it really feels like this deck wants a healing package. Spectral cutlass burgle or a healing battlecry that can be bounced to hand as needed. So many narrow loses in fatigue where 10~ health would have won the game but the deck only has the two armorers for "lifegain." Great video, loved it!

healing is only good in conjunction with board control. it's basically impossible for rogue to have that, especially when the cthun package already takes up so many cards. I think for rogue it makes a lot more sense to lean into mana cheat / draw and just accelerate the cthun payoff as much as possible.
tho fundamentally the problem is that the cthun cards are just not that good... :'(
Taking out some of the fun/goofy value cards and putting in more of rogues tempo removal would make a big difference. Cutlass package is big and healing battlecries aren't great

I haven't played HS in years, but still often watch these videos. Most of my actual play time was from late Beta up to Knights of the Frozen Throne, so my thinking is still a bit stuck in that era of the game. The idea that a Blade of C'Thun could ever be at 6 mana AND be balanced that way is absolutely crazy to me. My Boomer brain can't comprehend how much things have changed.

It's probably not very strong even by KoFT standards. Vilespine Slayer is 1 mana less for 1 less attack, combo requirement, and no cthun buff.
Well it was wildly overcosted even at its time of release. It could have cost 6 THEN and it probably wouldn't have made the deck viable.

yeah this is directly to wild, includes over a hundred buffed cards and around 40 new cards.
@@hihigocat is it a full expansion or is it a mini-set? Makes a difference with the cost.
@@papabeard4976 im not sure what they consider it, since they are calling it the first of its kind. theres packs sold, with mostly reprints of old cards and the new ones. if you had those old cards before, from their own expansions, you dont need to get the new versions (and dupe protection applies).
i think itd be relatively cheap for anyone whose been playing hearthstone or wild for a while, but its also an unexpected new cost outside of normal expansion/mini-set releases.
