I am in Spain, and our FSSP priest wears the Spanish Biretta, four-pointed (no fins). What is the history of that Biretta?
Lately, i have seen some priests wear it while they are giving the homily during Mass. Where did that come from. We never did that in the old days. Only entering and leaving and while seated, if it was a High Mass.
