I think a Victorian faction with an umbrella unit that is like one of those umbrellas with a pointy top, it'd protect against the gunslingers bullets from the sky's and make the unit fall slower, and a pick pocket unit, which is a unit that steals 1 units weapons.

Factions u can make are: imladris, lothlorien, mirkwood, gondor, dwarves of erebor, dwarves of iron hills, arnor, dol amroth, mordor of course, the evil men of harad and rhun and angmar. And if u want to play a lord of the rings rts you should try lord of the rings the battle for middle earth 1 and 2, and when u get bored of that try the edain mod for the second

Sort of mod but not a mod idea:
Super smash bros mod. You get launched further the more damage you take. You only die by falling off the map. If its too hard to code, well then keep the health i guess. Good luck

Grabable feature :> Totally accurate suggestion
A cool mod could be the animal faction mod. It could have a bunch of different animals in it. You could add wolves, better snakes, bears, boars, hawks, flying squirrels :) You could also add some custom nature maps, so a forest for wolves and bears or an open grassy plain for the hawks. You could also have some sort of water map and add sharks. If you could manage it, you could have the units "swim" (not drown) so we can have shark massacres. Also, what happened to the Geonosis arena map? When are these mods comming out? I'm soooooo excited.

Wow, this is new after everything else
I got 1 ideas try making a portal mod because I think the game portal is really cool have you played it before and you could make like a map with the robot in it.I got some features for the one of the characters the person you are in the game should be able to shoot like a gun that would teleport them randomly to any place on the map when they step on the portal but other units that Are not there teammates it will damage them. You should make the big robot and that little annoying blue guy which is also a robot and then you can make like a little century robots and the girl with the portal gun oh and if you want to you can add a Companion cubeThey’re just like little cubes you’ll have to research on it. In the big robot should be the expensive one The attack should freeze them and do a lot of damage and I mean a lot because the robot in the game freezes you and also kind of test you with a lot of puzzles
What if there was a DEFENDER mod. Picture this, units of all kind could be commanded to stay put and defend without falling off a wall and killing themselves. I would make this myself but I don’t know how.

I think the main issue with this helms deep is that the walls are too high, maybe lower them to half the hieght for playability
