Interesting Fact about this Song: The film Action Replayy came out in 2010. It was the same year Aishwarya had Shankar's Robot/Enthiran with Rajnikanth and SLB's Guzaarish with Hrithik. But when this song had to be shot in early 2010, Mumbai was facing a severe water crisis and so the film director Vipul Shah, choreographer Ganesh and Aishwarya decided to shoot the song without water to support Mumbai as there were random protests against film industry for wastage of water during shoot. It was shot in an abandoned Mill in Mumbai, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. The shot which Rick mentions, where Aishwarya enters with her gang and the women are throwing colours and then she takes the big plate of colours and throws it on two guys.... It was shot was very careful practice and rehearsals. The camera had to move along with the speed of Aishwarya and dancers and the throwing of colours had to happen at specific beats and the catching of the two guys and then throwing of colours had to happen at another beat because instantly after that, the beats and steps changed for all. This is master choreography and cinematography. The song, btw, happens as a time lapse into past. Aditya Roy Kapoor plays sons to Aishwarya and Akshay in the present and he goes back in 70s with a time machine to know why is parents fell in love with each other as they were always bickering in present. The song is first intro in past, that's why Aditya shouts "Mom". What is also interesting, Aditya and Aishwarya worked back to back in two movies - the time travel room com Action Replayy where they play son and mother, and Guzaarish where Aditya plays apprentice to Hrithik who is being nursed by Aishwarya. Moreover, this song is praised eloquently by its Music Director Pritam who was composing Music for his second Aishwarya film, after Dhoom 2. He brought back the brilliant Sunidhi Chauhan for Aishwarya's playback as Sunidhi sang for Aishwarya in Dhoom 2's Crazy Kiya Rey.
‘Action Replayy’ is a guilty pleasure for me because it’s campy and OTT. Also, Rick would adore Akshay Kumar in this movie. P.S. The song is set in ‘70s Bombay btw

It's sort of like Back to the Future :P I love the way this song has been picturized, one of the most underrated Holi songs. Sunidhi killed it with the vocals as well. 8:40 Did you say Iruvar, if yes then yeah she was in it - it was her debut film lol! Your next Aishwarya film should be Raincoat, please!! It's one of her best performances. And its interesting Rick pointed out no water, because Holi songs usually do involve playing with water as well. But if I remember it correctly when this movie was being shot, the state of Maharashtra was going through a major water crisis and the producers made a choice to shoot the song without wasting any water and only shooting a dry holi sequence with colours.
This is such a fun song 😌❤️👌. I miss Aishwarya Dance numbers so much. No new age actresses pull of dance numbers like she does. The grace, suppleness, elegance, charm, body aesthetics, enjoyment she portrays is just awesome. It feels like like it's a damn real setting not a music video. That time of bollywood with Aishwarya, Rani, Madhuri, Juhi, Preity, etc is gone.

Aishwarya's songs from 'Dil Ka Rishta' are pretty great. Would make for better reactions.
