- Kite surfing in Myanmar is not very popular. Burma however offers good wind and wide beaches for the fans of kiteboarding.
Ngwe Saung is a beach located 5 hours' drive from the capital Yangon. It can make a perfect spot for a kitesurfing enthusiast but don't pack you kitebag just yet. Watch the vlog to find out whether it's a place for you.

@@ThomasGerman Importing equipment from Thailand now. .covid is throttling my efforts, but hope to raise interest here in Myanmar. . Inle lake can get windy at times, but unsure if kitesurfing allowed..Will try and update on how it goes!

Thomas ! I just discovered your video this morning and already commented on the phan rang one. Very nice content and edit man. Isnt it the best when you can kite all alone or just a few people. The beach is so wide ! What a change from phuket and boracay ( I live in Phuket btw ). I wanted to ask you some more questions. How much was the motorbike daily and how easy is it to change USD ? I heard that they were very picky about the pristine condition of the bills. Thx again for you videos !
The motorbike was about 5-7$/day. Just remember to negotiate especially if you are renting for more than couple of days. It's true about them being picky with some old bills in poor condition, but I had a little exposure to this problem as I mainly used ATMs so can't really advice you here. It's a really quiet spot. First time a went kiting I had a group of local spectators which was pretty cool. Have fun wherever you decide to go!
