A bit of info on the Capri. Lawrence didn’t keep it as he couldn’t get insured on it. I know that one of the body men from Chop Shop ‘Julian’ bought it and had it for a while. He took it to a local show ‘Uxbridge car show’ one year. it was later for sale through a Porsche dealer in Hatch End North West London. It was up for sale for a long time but I’m not sure if it ever sold. The Porsche dealer went out of business whilst they were selling the Capri.
Although I agree that Leepu is more likely a bondo Sculptor with an angle grinder, with questionable design choices. I must admit he's a very entertaining character. Probably why his shows were very popular.
From memory, there was another car from the "Boy racer" project that used the unused ends of both cars. I don't think it was ever on TV, but it popped up on ebay a couple of times. There'll be some catty comments, but I seem to remember I kind of liked the way it looked.
The program was entertaining and Leepu had some good styling ideas, considering Bernie was supposed to be a 'master mechanic' you never saw him do anything apart from scream and shout, but watching the work, the cars were death traps
I always have an issue with people claiming they are " Master Mechanics ", when most of the time they have never trained or have any qualifications, a prime example is Ant Anstead, spent most of his life as a police officer, then is suddenly a Master Mechanic ?
@jasoneldridge4738 yes, there are a couple of people on these reality shows who claim to be 'master mechanic', but I can't see what they bring to the programme, one person who can do what he says is Alan Milliard, very clever guy
Actually .. the more i look at it .. I like the "Green Car" ... put that against a Tesla cybertruck .. it looks far nicer ... I actually wouldn't mind having one

The body man that had the Capri for a bit is the one in the green top with his arm around Leepu in the pic of the Eco Car. He went on to work for BMW.
Thanks for that, love when we find out info like that - maybe its still out there!
Honestly the crap these two put together should have gone straight to the scrap yard
Size of the wheel spacers on that Gangster effort, must’ve been a death trap.

I must admit this program was entertaining to watch and see what ideas they had but I wouldn't want to drive anything they made

Interesting. Will do some digging
Does be great Sunday mornings watching your videos . I find them very interesting
Glad you like them!
@oscarsgarage447 I watch all your uploads but I do love a Sunday morning Oscars Garage Special. They really are TV quality. Top marks well done
Chop shop was the correct title.
wasn't kemp's car seen looking like a death-trap prior to being finished?
Hope we see more of your mg midge
Leepus tantrum when told he had to make Mr Hollands tribute car.Not what he wanted..

@@jasoneldridge4738 Fully agree with you Jason. At least Edd China does have an engineering degree. Anstead is an MA (Master of Arrogance!)
Actually .. the more i look at it .. I like the "Green Car" ... put that against a Tesla cybertruck .. it looks far nicer ... I actually wouldn't mind having one
Mat Armstrong be like “I bought the chop shop gangster car, can I get it back on the road in 24hrs”
Love it 😂
😂
I remember that show, if you paid £5 they would hand you a sledge hammer and you could see how much body filler you could smack out of it
I dread to think what wiring was like on these death traps 😮
You haven’t seen some of my wiring... 😱 I can't comment.
Another program that made bad mod's was Goblin works garage. The slammed Land Rover springs to mind.
IMO an ego project (the programme) for the presenters. Every car they modded was ridiculous.
Should have been called mutant shop, has to be the worst mess of ugly useless shite ever produced by a tv show, like a nightmare version of car sos
It runs on used curry oil, I bet that farted and spluttered 😂
I know it's an utter POS but the boy racer car for £650 would be a laugh to own
It’s all real scrap, as I suspected watching that crappy show.
Leepus designs are terrible, everything out of proportion
Joke programme, joke cars 😂
The cars "Lipu" made were total bollocks! Entertaining program but horrendous products!!
The gangster car looked better after the monster truck lol😅
Ouch...
Lol they made a good car look scrap 😂
