Same here mate. Everyone does the same thing, run the byline and driven pass into the box for a finish, I think I lost 7/8 games in a row yesterday before I finally turned it off. I’m not even a bad player, I was in div 1 of rivals last year but I reckon not being able to defend is fucking me over badly this game.

And how do we counter this? The lower divs are fine but 5 and up are just full of players doing this and running the by line for the square ball. Then they have high pressure on so they recycle. Once you're penned in its near impossible to get out....
I think a good counter would be to constantly try to close gaps for their passes. Takes a bit of guessing. Dont go in to the bait they set up for you to try and tackle. A bit of passive defending.

Most effective tactics available? The word can be used loosely and doesn't only allude to formation/tactics. META can be used to refer to a team someone is using or a deck someone is piloting if we are referring to TCGs.

Do you use Agile Dribbling at all? Played a guy who seemed to have mastered it in Div 4, it was incredible how he shifted with it.
It's too op if you master it. I use it and score solo goals all the time

Damn i just miss the old fifa games where non of this shit was the meta. You could just pass pass and shoot total football. Also the movement from L3 joystick was much smoother and better not clunky and slow. Fifa today is like a chess or somehing 😑

Just try get used to precision. I’m not very good player at all I’m probably average or below average but after about 5 games with precision shooting I got used to it and it makes a huge difference
precision is fun if you can master it, you can curl shots and it looks fire
I am so confused. every game I play (div 8), opponent constantly charges with 3 players at the same time and I cannot for the love of my life win against it or enjoy the match. tried the left stick you are showing but always opponent intercepts. Looks nothing like your gameplay😵💫☺
Tons of it has to do with connection. Most of these TH-camrs have near perfect connection so it’s an entirely different game unfortunately

That left stick turn away doesn’t work! They either tackle you from behind or the cpu AI turbos to the the opposite side off you and wait to take the ball…even if you somehow turned around…your player is stuck in the mud and moves slow as shit and the ball is taken. It’s BS!

I hate that fifa has gone this direction. Used to have to really string passes together in your build up to score.m but now you can just zig zag dribble and score. Most unrealistic thing ever. Impossible to defend it since your defenders aren’t agile enough to keep the opponent infront of you. Broken franchise now sadly
