Not really, they used to sweep the battle field strapping dead bodies with with the rifle's knife, and shooting them, then after that they would gather the Bodies and burn them in quantities, it doesn't matter if it's a friend or a foe's body all the same, both parties would come pick up their dead soldiers and burn the bodies cuz it causes black plague, so not only does he get shot at multiple times to make sure everyone is dead but also strapped and then burned, in rare cases where someone would bury himself with a pile of bodies waiting for the right opportunity to escape. My dad fought the Nazis, US troops would routinely shoot any SS animals they captured,there was no quarter given because the SS routinely tortured and killed prisoners. This was especially true after Malmedy where the Germans killed like 1500 prisoners in cold blood. The wehrmacht hated the SS because they were afraid of being killed in retribution but according to my dad that for the most part didn't happen. Knowing what I know about the SS none of them should have been allowed to live; sadly thanks to post war politics many of them went unpunished and more than a few ended up as high ranking West German military or politicians. I have heard some say the SS soldiers were often victims,forced to be part of it but that was BS, they were an elite group and to get in you had to really want to be there,they all should if been executed, prob also would have been good to take out their families as well, likely they were proud of their SS member. A member of my Dad's unit's brother was killed at Malmedy , he went berserk, raped some German women and ended up serving 30 yrs hard labor, much more than many of the SS butchers did.

However, ignorance is no crime, provided that you are willing to educate yourself. Yes, it is very possible to miss at 8 metres with an MP40, especially when firing full auto. Consider things like the soldiers' hands may have been shaking, that some victims may have been shot multiple times or hit in places that aren't likely to be instantly fatal, etc. There are stories of people surviving close-range headshots to the back of the skull and managing to walk away from those incidents. There were even cases of people surviving executions like that during WWII. Usually, this happened if the victim turned his head slightly out of the firing line when the killer squeezed the trigger, causing the bullet to crease the skull rather than drill straight through the cranium and brain tissue. What is unrealistic about this, though, is the use of MP40 subguns for the execution, or the method of having the victims stand in a pit and just spraying them with bullets. The usual modus operandi for those sorts of Einsatzgruppen executions had the victims lie face down to be shot in the back of the head at close range with a rifle. MP40s were not very common weapons among the German forces during WWII, or at least nowhere as common as the films and video games would have you believe.

My dad fought the Nazis, US troops would routinely shoot any SS animals they captured,there was no quarter given because the SS routinely tortured and killed prisoners. This was especially true after Malmedy where the Germans killed like 1500 prisoners in cold blood. The wehrmacht hated the SS because they were afraid of being killed in retribution but according to my dad that for the most part didn't happen. Knowing what I know about the SS none of them should have been allowed to live; sadly thanks to post war politics many of them went unpunished and more than a few ended up as high ranking West German military or politicians. I have heard some say the SS soldiers were often victims,forced to be part of it but that was BS, they were an elite group and to get in you had to really want to be there,they all should if been executed, prob also would have been good to take out their families as well, likely they were proud of their SS member. A member of my Dad's unit's brother was killed at Malmedy , he went berserk, raped some German women and ended up serving 30 yrs hard labor, much more than many of the SS butchers did.

@@spionsilver9626 There isn't anything wrong at all. It's clear you don't know muchabout firearms, especially if you think conflate clips and magazines. However, ignorance is no crime, provided that you are willing to educate yourself. Yes, it is very possible to miss at 8 metres with an MP40, especially when firing full auto. Consider things like the soldiers' hands may have been shaking, that some victims may have been shot multiple times or hit in places that aren't likely to be instantly fatal, etc.
There are stories of people surviving close-range headshots to the back of the skull and managing to walk away from those incidents. There were even cases of people surviving executions like that during WWII. Usually, this happened if the victim turned his head slightly out of the firing line when the killer squeezed the trigger, causing the bullet to crease the skull rather than drill straight through the cranium and brain tissue.
What is unrealistic about this, though, is the use of MP40 subguns for the execution, or the method of having the victims stand in a pit and just spraying them with bullets. The usual modus operandi for those sorts of Einsatzgruppen executions had the victims lie face down to be shot in the back of the head at close range with a rifle. MP40s were not very common weapons among the German forces during WWII, or at least nowhere as common as the films and video games would have you believe.
