Not really, they used to sweep the battle field strapping dead bodies with with the rifle's knife, and shooting them, then after that they would gather the Bodies and burn them in quantities, it doesn't matter if it's a friend or a foe's body all the same, both parties would come pick up their dead soldiers and burn the bodies cuz it causes black plague, so not only does he get shot at multiple times to make sure everyone is dead but also strapped and then burned, in rare cases where someone would bury himself with a pile of bodies waiting for the right opportunity to escape. No references to go back to, and I'm not sure of the information myself, I hope it's correct if it's not then I would have to give you my apologies, but I presume it's as good as I think it is, cuz it's quite reasonable, I mean leaving the bodies in the open would bring the plague so they had to gather them I guess and burry them, all those things I mentioned above are critical thinking and me making assumptions of what it would've been like.

I was fortunate enough to see this film as well as The Little Black Book and The Grey Zone. All of these films explore the psyche of the human mind when it becomes exposed to inhumane and unfathomable circumstances. The cruelty of the Nazis was not limited to what they did to others but also what they made others do to each other! The monstrous inhuman cruelty displayed during the Fürher's reign was equally matched with acts of divine courage, compassion, decency, mercy and sacrifice. The results of both World Wars should convince even the most arden pessimistic doubter that Good will always triumph over Evil!
If Good always triumph over Evil it would be excellent!
