He didnt live like a Christian. You cant go to heaven by just believing in God and not turn from your sins. The bible says the demons also belive and tremble before God.
The best JD & The Stamps line up didn’t last very long. That was JD, of course, Ed Hill, Jack Toney and Jerry Trammel on tenor. Trammel and Toney had a great blend. However, the group that sang with Elvis for a couple of years and featured JD, of course, and back-up bass Richard Sterban (JD was the only bass singer to ever have a back-up bass singer!) Ed Enoch sang baritone, Donny Sumner sang the lead and Bill Baize was the tenor.
That J.D. is the best ever !! Watched him sing ever since I was a kid..Bless you J.D. !! I know your in a better place today.!!
JD!!& All the stamps!! #1!!!!!!!!, Gene calif.
F1 9:05 JD Sumner the bass singer the best of all time. ♪
He was the best , J.D. Sumner ,and Elvis’s best backup group and the Sweet Inspirations.
Don't ever associate a great talent like JD Sumner with a drugged out pedophile like Elvis Presley. There's no comparison..
Amen
love this group, love Rick Strickland, he has great vocals and moves!
I know Rick is the best gospel tenor singer ever!
Thanks J.D. Say hello to Elvis for us
Why do you think he is in heaven?
@@user-pj6nx3or4u because he believed in God and had him as his personal lord and savior. That’s why:)

@@user-pj6nx3or4u question, not saying you’re wrong but how do you know that he didn’t live like a Christian?
Get'It, J D..!!
Fantastic!
Hello Irl Grundy! I am Brazilian. Please, to put it simply, what did JD mean in minutes 1:28 to 1:33? I'm trying to translate, but I can't.
he meant that; even as a kid, he never really sounded like a kid
that's low notes omg without mic
WHERE'S THE GOSPEL PART OF COUNTRY MUSIC TODAY?

Ed Hill replaced Donnie the last 4 years and made the announcements for the Elvis show. Agree on Toney on lead for sure, but I'd take Rick at tenor.
@@understandingbigfoot Not a fan of Rick’s vocal histrionics.
9:05 note?

vim aqui pelo canal do Paulo Bass.
at 9:19 the drummer gets off beat or something

Only one JD Sumner the best
Massa! Feras
Me too
He is the one and only 'the lowest bass singer in the world' I sure miss him
Me too
All of them are good but the tenor is a hard to find tenor.
Nyck461 Rick Strickland is the tenors name.
Rick is an acquired taste, or not.
I never liked Ed Enoch. Sort of a bargain-basement Jake Hess.
😂
Good one.
