you can try using kinkier hair. a lot of people say the freetress waterwave hair is too soft so it unravels quick. some people like using the spring twist hair better

Try rubbing it in between ur hands, it tightens it more
you can use nail glue or got to be glue to make sure they stay secure

The back is always a little more awkward. Try using different hand/arm positions until it feels more natural.

Try to wrap it as closely to the root as possible and more tightly at the top.

What if I wanted them waist length? Cuz it seems like they can only go so far
You would have to braid your hair with braiding hair of your length choice then do this method and keep adding hair to the length you want.
