Being an autistic person, I find it so trippy and weird watching this show and watching Shaun especially. It makes me wonder if other people perceive _me_ this way, coz of course _I_ don’t notice the way I behave and talk since it’s the natural way of me functioning. Plus, Shaun seems a lot more able to pick up on social cues, body language, and hints than me. I find it really funny, actually. It’s an interesting and insightful experience. Especially after watching the original Korean drama.
Everything he went through when he was dating Carly has always come naturally and with ease with Lea. From the very beginning, we see scenes like this from way back in season 1 and he just feels so comfortable and safe with Lea and that’s why I always knew from the very beginning that they would be endgame. Their relationship has always had its ups and downs but the Carly/Shaun relationship always had so many issues that he never did with Lea because that part of connection that he so hardly worked for with Carly, he innately already had with Lea

There’s no on-screen dialogue that specifically mentions this. Either Shaun mentioned it at some point offscreen, or Lea knew enough (or looked up enough) about autism to understand that about Shaun.
