at the end when i start to run it ,it shows-user defined type not defined, and there is an error in the first line where you write sldworks.sldworks. Please tell me what should i do.
nice video! can you provide help on creating a series of radial center lines from origin. i need it to be done in the following sequence 1. create centre line 1 through origin. 2. insert point with reference to center line 1 at a distance x 3. add centre line 2 at an angle 1deg from centerline 1 and again insert point at a new distance x2. i need to program this upto 360 degrees. could you help?
Hey there, any ideas on how to Insert Reference Planes offset from the top plane. I have tried using a recorded macro to create a ref plane; however every time i run it the created plane does not appear. Any help would be appreciated.
Hey, are you able to download the file from the link below? The file is a macro I recorded that creates many reference planes offset from the top plane. www.dropbox.com/s/4nxj9iuc7b8948j/Making%20Plane.swp?dl=0
hey, thanks for that. The link works. I ll have a look at the macro and try running on mine. I ll come back with comments once I go through it. Thanks again.
Hey Jason, Thanks for the macro. It does seem to be running ok; however for some reason the created planes do not appear in the solidworks part that I ran the macro on. I am running SW 2012 SP0 (it's an unofficial version).
I noticed you used a definition of meter in inches, actually the definition of an inch is 25.4mm per inch exactly. For your conversion dim{in meters}=dim{inches}*.0254. This is the cause of your cylinder being 11.9999 long rather than 12.00 long
Got a question, could you copy that feature extrusion code and put it in the discription or send me a personal message containing it? Thanks in advance,
Excellent and very well explained for beginners. Thank you
Great job, Me_in_3D. A sincere thanks from a mech eng a decade later.

thanks a lot for sharing , yet I don't know how can I put a angle dimension , for example 45 and not 135 , then control it with the macro
Hello , I`m using SW2010 and I don`t have file Part.pztdot , where I can find it?

How to link the dimension from excel to SolidWorks model instead of typing in the VBA
