  • This set of whimsical choral miniatures for a cappella choir are a great introduction into working with uncommon performance techniques and sounds with the choir. The lyrics, written by Ona Musoll-Buendia when she was in the sixth grade, coalesce with light-hearted harmonies and child-like melodies for a piece that is especially appropriate for younger singers with a sense of theatricality.

    Lyrics:
    Drizzle:
    Drizzle, drizzle, drop, drop
    Plip plip plop plop
It is the middle of the spring.
And I hear the drizzling rain ring!
    The sun came out
    No one had to pout,
Because it was a beautiful day in May.
    Just Me:
    I was in my house
    With a very small mouse
    My house was tall,
    But very small
    The mouse said, squeak!
    And I screeched.
    Springtime:
    Flowers bloom
    Hummingbirds zoom
    Spring is here!
    Cheer, cheer
    Cheer!
    -Ona Musoll-Buendia
