Just recently discovered par times are still valid on easy , after doing CE par times on normal and some in Halo 3 lol But easy makes par times too easy so long as you have a route Thankfully Exodus has many areas you can skip cuz as you said, there is hardly any areas you need to defend or wait for a door to open. In fact, the only two areas with that are when you first encounter the brutes outside the suicidal covenants and when you wait for elevator.
@@fabienf3860 there's a playlist on Rich MCC where if you play this mission, it starts right after the flying section, so you are left with just the final encounter to get through, and doing it still counts as beating par time even though you aren't playing through the whole mission. at least that's what happened to me back when I wrote the original comment

Yeah the heck is going on here the jet pack isn’t strong enough to get you to that spot and it isn’t strong enough to get you to the top floor inside in 1 shot. A work around thou for the interior jump to left there a flight of stairs that take you up 1 floor and jetting from there makes it possible but it’s impossible from the 1st floor. Next it is possible to get to the ledge it just take like 4 jumps you basically gotta climb the same thing he did but get up to the 2nd level then jump also using the Conner spots Also helps gives you an extra 3 ft or so. ( playing on a anniversary edition)
I just wanted to offer some clarification for anybody still struggling with this jetpack bit that Heffman is referring to (because I couldn't figure it out for a while). If you jump, and then hit your jetpack while still moving upwards from your jump, you'll go a lot higher, but if you wait too long and hit your jetpack at or after the peak of your jump, your jetpack will be fighting against gravity, so you really almost have to hit them simultaneously.

Jump then immediately start jetpacking. Gives you a boost.
@@HaloCompletionist Just can't make it work on PC. Not able to do any jumping with any consistency with the jetpack.

Jump right before jetpacking, it gives you an extra boost

the same thing just happened to me. i made the jump when i hit jump and jet pack basically at the same time and got it first try
