Picked up a 2024 Scalpel recently for use leading NICA practices after trying several competitor offerings. Was very pleased with the Scalpel and thought it performed on par if not better than the Pivot Mach 4SL ('24 ver), Trek Top Fuel (arguably more down country) and Cervelo. After more than 100 miles on the bike, I did find the cockpit a little cramped - at 5`11" I went with a large and could have bumped to XL. The stock tires are great to race on but should be replaced if you are training or riding chunkier trail. I transitioned to Schwalbe Wicked Will front/back with a Vittoria XC Light insure in the back. Changing tires really transformed on-trail riding behavior and performance. Ability to carry 2 full sized water bottles is a huge plus. Suspension platform is good - I didn't find lack of a lockout held me back on climbs. Only downside is there is a lot of frame flex particularly when pumping and working the bike hard.

it looks much better with a lefty shame the US don't get anymore
