I know what your DVD problem is. It's scratched. It happens on my DVDs for years and it was my enemy since. Anyway, Diesel's scheming manipulative trait was still shown in CGI now and again such as Day of the Diesels, Blue Mountain Mystery, Wild Water Rescue, the times he uses Paxton as a pawn, A Most Singular Engine, Diesel Do Right and Sonny's Second Chance just so you know. Also, it was good that Diesel remains a devious bad guy for the reminder of the show til it ended because that suits him perfectly and no more which also shows that what happened in Season 21 never lasted long as it does with other things over the years as you and I both know. Attention seeking was only in the Miller era but it was never brought up again in the Brenner era which was good in case you didn't know. At least the word revolutionary was said once by Diesel in Thomas The Quarry Engine. To make Diesel Glows Away better, perhaps Diesel could just use the glow paint to play a scary trick on Paxton and Nia and don't hide away to be found which would be much better and if Davey Moore let other writers make episodes for Diesel instead of writing them all himself. You may disagree with what I've stated but I hope you understand what I'm saying all the same.
If I were an animator for the Blue Mountain Scene, I would've made the tunnel slightly wider and given it a 3rd rail for standard gauge engines. Only problem is that I'd have to figure out which portal on the set is the other side of that tunnel.
I knew you were going to chose "Diesel glows away"! I don't think any of the engines on Sodor would care if Diesel is not on Sodor after all the chaos hes caused over the years. I think CGI had tons of fun when writing Diesel in "Diesel's special delivery", "No more Mr. Nice engine", "Thomas the quarry engine", "Wild Water Rescue", "Diesel and the ducklings", "Diesel's ghostly Christmas", "Disappearing diesels", "Sonny's second chance", "Blue Mountain Mystery" and "Springtime for Diesel" when making Diesel use Paxton and others foils to him, still show his devious cunning side and sometimes be a sympathetic villain when driven by guilt. How did the other Steam Team engines not wake up to hear and see Diesel and Nia talking to each other? Probably filled up a water tower with tons of Nyquil. 2:48: Mavis and Salty: R we a joke to you??? 😠 I didn't think that this episode would recreate Leokimvideo's Trackmaster glowing Diesel.

I use to like this episode but after watching this i agree with you this is the worst diesel episode 6:21 also how did diesel manage to fit in that tunnel? Isn’t that tunnel for the narrow gauge engines
Since this episode is a bad rehash of Henry in the Dark, I am not too fond of the episode itself. Not to mention between this episode, S22 and S21, they inconsistently have Narrow-Gauge engines on standard gauge tracks, and at the Blue Mountain Quarry, it's the opposite.
I understand you don't like fantasy sequences but I sometimes thought up a fantasy sequence for Diesel that features him rolling along, passing steam engines who disappears and replaced with diesels in their place and it ends with Diesel at Knapford with a crown on his head with diesels and humans praising him and the close up to his face with dark clouds around him and lightning striking as he cackles deviously at diesels finally taken over from steam engines as he always desired for years to stay true to his original belief from the classic series which should've been retained in CGI. What do you think?
Where’s the WORST Peter Griffin episode! Anyway yeah this episode is basically Henry in the dark but ruining a character instead of trying to restore them.
One little thing i find funny is how irl, class 08s can only go around 15-20mph yet i recall seeing diesel going way faster than that more times than i can remember... 😅
