John Dirck Manalo carbon fiber does not bend or warp, it's stiff. So it cracks instead of absorbing the hit. That's what he means.

Vecio composite kayaks are just fine. They are light, stiff and very easy to repair. Under normal circumstances they will last for decades! My first kayak is at least 22 years old and still going strong. And I have not been very kind to my old 'NORDKAPP', I must say! My second sea kayak is 12 years old, still as good as new! Off course all the others are in a way less distructible, but at cost of at least good cruising characteristics. And mind you; they too are not indestructable, but very hard and expensive to repair.

Physics maybe! Glass is very hard and also fragile! 🍷

    Great video!
When I think TST I truly do think of: Lightweight, Rigid, Durable, and Affordable.
I have compared my Pelican kayaks to my much more expensive $3,000 fishing kayak and found that the Pelican kayaks are truly much more rigid. When I stand on the deck of my expensive $3k kayak the material flexes ALOT. In fact I have had issues with my expensive rotomolded kayak flexing and not regaining its original shape thus creating spots where water pools. When someone pays that kind of money they expect better. When I stand on my TST molded Pelican kayaks it doesn't flex and it feels much more rigid and durable. TST is the way to go for long-term durability...and I like that it is recyclable in the long-term. That way future generations can enjoy paddling and the great outdoors!

Why are your kayaks still hard to find in my area, Kansas City and Lawrence, KS area? Dick's, and Academy Sports never have the entry level kind available, and the won't allow to order them. :(

This should be titled, "what kayaks are made of"

Blow molding sucks, Honda loves to use it, other automotive companies are trying to get rid of it
