Lovely vlog, Rhiannon! Don't worry about explaining yourself to people who are mean. You don't have to explain your choices to them, it's not their life. This is your life, your family, your daughter. You decide. However, I can understand if you were bothered by such comments (especially on a bad day). It is also a tendency of mine (and sometimes it still is) to overexplain myself, but to be honest, we don't have to. The only person who knows what you've been through in life is you.

Given how much you love cosy vibes, I’m always so surprised when you have the big main light on in your living room!
It’s on a dimmer so we often turn it down once we’ve had dinner/the camera always makes it look lighter than it is/our main light isn’t actually very bright. Once we have our Christmas tree, we usually end up turning the light off completely as the tree lights are enough 🎄

Rhiannon, you and Doug are wonderful parents! It is very obvious that Delilah is a thriving happy, intelligent, creative, and joyous little girl. I appreciate that all of you are natural and you all behave as you would if you weren’t recording, which is so refreshing!
Your videos are very impactful and I believe other parents (and those without children like myself) have and continue to learn from your example. I had a very abusive family and channels like yours are one of the things I enjoy watching to remind myself that I am Okay while I continue to heal. My faith in healthy and loving families won’t be shaken despite my experience.
I am sorry that some people are hateful. But I worry about how your mental health is affected when by the hate comments. Maybe as a way to cope with being triggered consider (hiring someone to) deleting comments or blocking people that cross boundaries by their comments. As you were talking, I felt for you and Delilah who was present while you were sharing about the online hate. I don’t think in real life you would argue and plead with unreasonable people, especially when they are attacking you. It is always appropriate to establish healthy boundaries for your channel. Personally, I refuse to argue with people who go out of their why to hurt me and I don’t give them the opportunity to have access to me if the blatantly called me out of my name or mistreat me etc.
Your outdoor footage+effects+sound is visually glorious. I feel you have moved beyond content creation into true filmmaking. Watching the metamorphosis over the years is such a treat 🧡🧡🧡

BTW we literally see so little of your day to day life, but it is excessively obvious that Delilah is a very happy girl with 2 parents who love her very much and that it all that matters. You're a great mum who makes intentional decisions for her family and home. It's so silly for people to get nasty over a paint color or what-not.

I think it's so nice that you want to get back into knitting! It's my favorite thing to do and I love creating clothes that I truely like to wear + it helps me with my anixety so much! And also from what we can see, you're a brilliant mom, so don't let people tell you otherwise

I have zero doubt that you let her choose and, honestly, kids don't understand how things come together yet. 9/10 times my daughter ends up loving what I do and I know you consider her personality/taste, just in a more functional, adult way. You made me so excited when our first daughter surprised us and I watched you and Delilah.

I love that you're starting to knit! If you're looking for a friendly community to learn from, the Knit Stars are an AMAZING resource that I have thoroughly enjoyed becoming immersed in. They even have a Knit Start module that I found a great brush up for my more rudimentary skills that I sort of raced over in my desire to master lace knitting, lol.
I really love that the book shelves show the front covers rather than just the spine! If all books were displayed like that it would inspire me to read more!!! 😃 x

I'm knitting while watching your video! Best advice I can give to a new knitter is to buy a pack of interchangeable needles. It'll save you a lot of money in the long run and will allow you to knit jumpers, hat, sleeves etc with ease.

You shouldn’t have to justify what colour you paint your child’s room. You should have a look at the brand Wool And The Gang for knitting. It can be quite expensive but they have some lovely options there for jumper patterns and wool. :)
Stich and story is also a good brand that has kits. Hobbii has some lovely yarns too.
People really have nothing more to do than express their unnecessary, uncalled for opinions about simple things like a chair and wall paint. I can't even understand how people think you don't let Delilah have a say on her things and her room. It's just a paint colour at the end of the day and it means nothing. You are a wonderful mother and as much as I understand your need to explain yourself, people don't deserve half of your kindness when all you do is a be a wonderful person. I'm sorry about all the wrongful people and bad comments they leave on your videos. It's really none of their business. Keep being a great person! Love your videos 🥰
Oh that's lovely that you're going to learn to knit! I made that resolution a few years ago that I wanted to be able to make myself my own knitwear and I have loved every second of it (even if sometimes I don't know what the heck I'm doing 😆). 100% recommend! It is such a calming and mindful thing. I learned mostly through youtube tutorials and asking questions on forums when I needed to. If you haven't heard of the website Ravelry, it's an amazing resource for knitters...I find most of my patterns on there. Happy knitting!🧶

The room is pink a soft pink Delilah learns a valuable lesson about compromise. It’s good for children to learn they can have what they want but might have to give some things up for the sake of others. Selflessness is a good quality to have in this day and age.
