The initial scenes playing in reverse, and the bizarreness of the situation is really enough to pique and hold the interest of anyone who watches. Can we all agree in the fact that this seems to be Jeonyul's era? Her vocals, look and her everything are on point. She stands out for me. Of course all my babies are gorgeous and I love them to death
Jeonyul is actually my least favourite member of Stellar, But I agree that this Song and MV is all about focusing on her. She's got a lot of lines, both rap and non-rap in this song, and the camera is always focusing on her Maybe they found out she can attract more popularity or something!
After seeing this MV, I went back and watched all of STELLAR's previous videos. Each one had its own charm. Of all the videos (including this one), "Vibrato" and "Sting" are still my faves though "Fool" and "Study" are not far behind. Even "UFO" had its own charm. I love the song "Marionette" but I remember the hate that went around when video was released. Personally, I didn't see a problem with it, but my ability to appreciate the MV is diminished because of the price STELLAR had to pay for it. Whenever I watch it, I think of all the damage that a few small minds are capable of and I can't enjoy watching it from that point. Then there's this video ("Crying"). The song is good. The video is good. However, there is one thing that sets this MV apart from all of their others. They all seem to be just having fun. Yes, there's some scripted elements to it. There's some choreo that had to be practiced, but the main ingredient that I never realized was missing from the other videos is seeing STELLAR just hanging around having.. ..fun. While I love Vibrato and Sting for the production values, Crying seems more spontaneous and relaxed. I'm not use to seeing this side of them, but I think they needed to do a video like this for us to see this side of them. I can't imagine the pressures they are under and the regiment that must be fused into their daily lives. Watching their diets, maintaining their appearance at all times, being mindful of everything they say and do. Never able to really have a "bad day" because that might be the day that destroys all of their careers. And then.. ..I watch a video that shows them just hanging around and playing and laughing and having fun. Of course they will still have bad days, but they'll get through them and hopefully get back to the place they were in this video. In the end, this video affected me in ways that I didn't expect and that's a good thing; a very good thing.

You transformed into words my feelings through all their MVs and to explain why they decided to have fun, they're acting as if it's their last comeback because they're tired of all this hate people gives them and they used the last key to try to reach korean people's heart with a upbeat generic hit of a famous compositor that is BB. I see your point and I agree with you. The overall presentation of the video had to adhere to the message the song was delivering so there needed to be attention to the dark aspects in the lyrics. However, I wasn't specifically talking about the story in the video; only the segments where they were put on a camping themed set and instructed to just.. ..hang out, have fun, and play. It was those unscripted scenes that I was focusing on. My favorite scene in the entire video was when Jeon Yul tipped the champagne glass with her foot and then made an impish smile (@ 0:37). A close second is seeing Hyo Eun playing with a couple of dinosaurs. I don't think any of that was scripted so we're seeing Stellar simply having fun. Most of their other videos are entirely scripted. Between the director calling out "action" and "cut", we're watching Stellar follow directions, dance the choreography, stand on point, evoke this or that emotion, etc.. In this video, if even for a small moment, we see them just being themselves. I know they can do "sexy". I know they are attractive/cute/talented. This time I got to see them be like you and me. ...and I like that; a lot.

After seeing this MV, I went back and watched all of STELLAR's previous videos. Each one had its own charm. Of all the videos (including this one), "Vibrato" and "Sting" are still my faves though "Fool" and "Study" are not far behind. Even "UFO" had its own charm. I love the song "Marionette" but I remember the hate that went around when video was released. Personally, I didn't see a problem with it, but my ability to appreciate the MV is diminished because of the price STELLAR had to pay for it. Whenever I watch it, I think of all the damage that a few small minds are capable of and I can't enjoy watching it from that point.
Then there's this video ("Crying"). The song is good. The video is good. However, there is one thing that sets this MV apart from all of their others. They all seem to be just having fun. Yes, there's some scripted elements to it. There's some choreo that had to be practiced, but the main ingredient that I never realized was missing from the other videos is seeing STELLAR just hanging around having.. ..fun. While I love Vibrato and Sting for the production values, Crying seems more spontaneous and relaxed.
I'm not use to seeing this side of them, but I think they needed to do a video like this for us to see this side of them. I can't imagine the pressures they are under and the regiment that must be fused into their daily lives. Watching their diets, maintaining their appearance at all times, being mindful of everything they say and do. Never able to really have a "bad day" because that might be the day that destroys all of their careers. And then.. ..I watch a video that shows them just hanging around and playing and laughing and having fun. Of course they will still have bad days, but they'll get through them and hopefully get back to the place they were in this video. In the end, this video affected me in ways that I didn't expect and that's a good thing; a very good thing.
This is the most beautiful comment i read and it deserves to stay on the top. You transformed into words my feelings through all their MVs and to explain why they decided to have fun, they're acting as if it's their last comeback because they're tired of all this hate people gives them and they used the last key to try to reach korean people's heart with a upbeat generic hit of a famous compositor that is BB. Anyway, glad to count you as a new Twinkle !

I see your point and I agree with you. The overall presentation of the video had to adhere to the message the song was delivering so there needed to be attention to the dark aspects in the lyrics.
However, I wasn't specifically talking about the story in the video; only the segments where they were put on a camping themed set and instructed to just.. ..hang out, have fun, and play. It was those unscripted scenes that I was focusing on. My favorite scene in the entire video was when Jeon Yul tipped the champagne glass with her foot and then made an impish smile (@ 0:37). A close second is seeing Hyo Eun playing with a couple of dinosaurs. I don't think any of that was scripted so we're seeing Stellar simply having fun.
Most of their other videos are entirely scripted. Between the director calling out "action" and "cut", we're watching Stellar follow directions, dance the choreography, stand on point, evoke this or that emotion, etc.. In this video, if even for a small moment, we see them just being themselves. I know they can do "sexy". I know they are attractive/cute/talented. This time I got to see them be like you and me. ...and I like that; a lot.
