I wonder how crafty declarer would need to be to underlead a king of clubs at trick ten and sneak a trick through. By my count, the best play would be to ruff, cash the remaining trumps, and then finish with the top heart (whether partner kept the queen or not).
Much appreciated Curt and Antara. Question for Curt: Do you use support doubles for minors? Not on this hand, obviously, but if you had held 3. Thanks!
Thank you Curt and Antara for this Mixed raise tuition…great learning.
Thanks!
If you don't use 2D on a 1C opening for another purpose, you can use it as a Mixed Raise. 3C is then a weak support, and 2C Inverted

I would have bid 3C Inverted Minor. Puts pressure on east to bid hearts...so probably play for 3C partial score.

Please verify what you would bid with a hand with five or six clubs and not enough points for a mixed raise. Pass?
Playing ACOL S would open 1NT and it would end up 3H to E/W.
