He was a victim of Chelsea's internal politics whan he was a teenager; then he was at Liverpool when they had Mane, Firmino and Salah at their peak (who in the world would have got through them into that side ?), then he had to rebuild at Bournemouth in a side that was collapsing and sliding into the Championship. So, out of that he had to rebuild his confidence and his game, and as per the commentator here, 90% of players would have disappeared, so it says a lot for Solanke that he came back and became the player he is. I take my hat off to him. 👏👏👏

The fact that we have a few that look like they can take big minutes there gives us a lot more flexibility to bring guys in that will only play in the prem. It’s an ugly decision to make financially in some ways, but it looks to be the right one with what our squad looks like. We will have the homegrown at club guys in a few years, but we want to push for top four now, or at the absolute latest next season.

What do you mean "finally"? It's only been one year. If we had his replacement already, that's amazing going for Daniel Levy. How many years has it been since not replacing Dembele? That would be a "finally". And we only just got a replacement (nowhere near as good) for Eriksen last season. We didn't have a creative mid for a number of years. One year would be a flash to replace Kane.
Spurs did not utilise Kane properly as we now see from his outstanding performances and goalscoring with Bayern. If Spurs can learn and adapt to properly utilise Solanke then they will surely be very successful. Solanke is more than just a goalscorer and centre forward. He is an excellent team player even significantly helping in defence, particularly at corners. He scares defences and is unselfish. Let’s hope Spurs adapt to use him properly, to his strengths for their benefit and for Solanke’s benefit. Very sorry to see him go, he was very valuable to Bournemouth but wish him every, indeed outstanding success … except against Bournemouth!
Davis ,Lo Celso, Forster , Solomon ,Regulion need moving out , with Ollie Skipp who deserves the chance to also be moved on stuck because of Euro rules ,just to get another player, in 3 positions LCB , LB and a top level attack player like Eze , currently show in Europe why not having club trained players yet able to fill in ,some club balancing act still a couple of seasons away from integration of very talented Golden Generation of youth . Solanke is a perfect fit if he can continue his solid season at Bournemouth and compete with the top four clubs for honours.
