Loving the reviews on both swathers. I’m in Australia can’t wait to see them over here

I hope the improvements made propel it past the old 260's. We purchased a Speed Rower 260 4 years ago. It has been the most disappointing new equipment purchase I have ever made. We run it in conjunction with three old school H8080's that slap it in the face and leave it in the dust. Our dealer in the first year of purchase comped us close to 250 gallons of Hydraulic fluid due to hydraulic lines splitting on the welds, O rings failing due to excessive vibrations and lack of line anchoring, and hydraulic drive motor failure. The relief pressure on the hydro is set way to low and will not pull hills here in the Palouse. Its as if they took all the rejected parts from the combine factory and committed them to the swather line. The only only positive to these machines are still the headers. Operators prefer to run the 8080's from a maneuverability, control, and power stand point. So much in fact we have started replacing wore out headers with new 416 plus headers. We have tried to demo a New 260 plus from our local dealer but the will not commit to a demo with out a signed PO. The local Deere dealer has brought us out their comparable machine three years running in attempts to get us to go green on our windrowers. Their cab and horsepower to the ground, and over all craftsmanship are incredible. If it wasn't for the engineering in the header, and the piss poor handling, we might being persuaded to switch. That being said, until we can actually sit in the seat and operate one of the Plus models, we will just keep refitting 8080's with new headers.

I hate the original 220s 240s and 260s this is a major massive light year’s improvement over them piles of shit

You were able to put a 416 plus on a h8080? Our dealer told us that engineering told them it wasent recommended. Would love to try a 260 plus but our dealer is only interested in pushing macdons now.

How that stainless to hydraulic hose swap work out for ya. Someone tried doing that to my machine and the flex from the hose effected the response and accuracy of forward and reverse commands from joystick. Right drive hub
had stainless left side they had put hydraulic hoses.i put stainless back on. I feel if you stay on top of clamps holding those lines you eliminate the vibration

I haven’t done it yet once another one breaks I will I wrapped rubber lining around them and hose clamped them together in a couple spots to eliminate rubbing and vibrating

I can’t figure out why there needs to be an auger in those headers. I have 2 w235s cutting 10,000 acres per year. Never have an issue. Just curious what I’m missing.

Prevents double cut and really sets itself apart in heavy hay where masseys and Deere’s fall on there face

We absolutely love them but we are in extremely tough conditions where a Massey and Deere just won’t cut it without costing 100s of thousands of dollars so it’s nice to have something that runs reliably.
