As an oregon disc golfer I sometimes forget how lucky we are to have all the great woods golf that we have here. Milo McIver, Horning's Hideout, Pier Park, Dexter... the list goes on and on.
love this years golf courses not feeling like wide open courses. Stockton and now Portland were great layouts and I enjoyed all of the lines. Couldnt ask for a better lead card nice to see Simon in form and Gurthie making a full run!
This is actually really fun to watch, as a disc golf fan. I know ball golf course, blah, but they have made a very challenging and interesting course. Not only that, it's very easy to follow the action, the discs, and have beautiful camera work for us. It's a very fun watch as well.
As a day 1 viewer and 16 yr player of the game, I think this course/tournament is in top echelon when it comes to how it looks on film. Our sport is best showcased on pristine courses like this and Milo. It really looks great with the green fairways, huge trees and a big gallery in in the background. We just need to double that gallery size to compete with the European tournaments
As an avid golfer (and used to be serious disc golfer) it’s such a pleasure watching the game be played on a golf course. I still think disc golf is best and most fun in a park setting with really unique holes. It shouldn’t be about throwing it far. I loved disc golf for the touch shots. It changed so much from like 2008 to 2012.
Jerm has that giddy kid on Christmas morning look, knowing it's all a surprise to him on coverage today. Love it. Good to see he really still loves the game.
For anyone that's curious: The SuperBowl Scramble tournament Isaac won is a 3-man team of 2 rounds, 1 round of best-shot and 1 of alternate shot. The tournament is put on by Dave Feldberg. I played it a couple times in ams and it's a lot of fun.

Linus said like [Leenus] (not [lienus] ) is correctly pronounced generally for a person from Nordic countries, just like you said at 31:56! :) Swedes have their different accents making it sound more or less fancy, but saying just [Leenus] is still 100% correct! You have my permission to be confident now :D

I saw Paul and nate run a tournament/exposition in Central FL and it was amazing how their throws would stay in the air easily twice as long as my 350' throws.
I absolutely feel for Paul missing those putts. But secretly my confidence is boosted knowing it can happen to the best. It can even happen 3 times in a row.
Question - if you were on lead card final round for a major, would you rather have Paul McBeth on your card or on chase card? Assuming the same score differential
When Nate mentioned the field was knocked down to 38 players for the final day, Big Jerm had this look on his face that was NOT happy. So I wondered if he didn't make the final day. Then at the end of the first hole, Jerm confirmed it. Made me laugh. Love ya Big Jerm, not everyone can make final day! 💕
I really appreciate when the 1st tee announcer let’s the players shine and doesn’t make it all about himself. Kudos to the guy in Portland for being low-key all 4 rounds.

This is the future of courses. Open enough to accommodate a big gallery, yet the holes demand really specific shots similar to wooded golf.
The last time I was in Portland I got to play Pier Park. It's just breathtaking playing amongst all those massive redwoods.

I live here in Portland and I've played (regular golf) on this East course many times. Massive, long uphill holes are tough to play for sure.
