after years of listening to other bands disgrace Ronnie's work - i think we have a winner here. this band is solid. this man can bring the fire. excellent muical support behind him as well. if ya wait long enough someone decent arrives.
none taken sweetheart. he's the only vocalist i have ever seen that could get this close. if they have a Dio tribute concert they should call this man first.
Yeah me too.. I've seen them live many nights from their beginnings to their end. They had such a wall of doom sound.. Freaking fantastic. Their doom sound was unprecedented.
Yeah. You may also like ''Kill the king' that Robert Lowe did with Candlemass and 'Man on the silver mountain' he did with Concept of God. Also he is now singing in the band Grief Collector and I like their stuff.
This, along with the band's version of Heaven and Hell are pretty much the only covers that can stand next to the original versions, Robert Lowe is simply amazing and his love for Dio shows by introducing in his performances Dio-isms(!) that Dio did not have in the original recordings. A truly fitting tribute.
Best Dio-cover I ´ve ever heard ! Normally the singers of the covering bands can´t reach Ronnie´s intensity and range, but this guy... respect ! And the instrumental section is very good, too .
Wow, that was incredible, I've never heard Lowe sing with a rasp like that. He's got a great voice and that version was quite impressive. I must find this tribute cd.
Fall 0f 1992, I went into Sound Warehouse in Arlington, Texas to pick up Megadeth's 'Countdown to Extinction.' John worked there and was blasting 'Beyond the Crimson Horizon.' I left with two CDs that day and the Solitude Aeturnus CD had 100x more play than the Megadeth. I became a fan for life.
Shame on the night for places I've been and what I've seen for giving me the strangest dreams But you never let me know just what they mean so oh oh so shame on the night alright And shame on you you've stolen the day snatched it away but I saw the sky and I never want to die Now you know the reason why I say oh shame on the night You don't care what you've done so I think I'd better run Shame on the sun for the light you sold I've lost my hold on the magic flame but now I know your name Oh lord just go the way you came again oh oh oh shame on the night You don't care what you've done so I know I'd better run Shame on the night for places I've been and what I've seen for giving me the strangest dreams But you never let me know just what they mean so oh oh so shame on the night alright And shame on you You don't care what you've done here I go I've got to run Shame on the night shame shame on you Shame on the dream shame on the sun and you shame on the night for the light you sold I've lost my hold on the magic flame but now I know your name Shame on the night shame on you shame on all of you shame on the night Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Robert Lowe= Awesome vocalist. Thier record Adagio has a great cover of Sabbath's 'Heaven And Hell' and they have a great version of Maiden's 'Hallowed Be Thy Name' not to mention the original material, and yes he also sings for Candlemass now. Great Post!
Muchos queríamos escuchar covers de canciones cantadas por Dio interpretadas por este vocalista. De la misma forma que muchos querías escuchar canciones cantadas por Ozzy interpretadas por Messia de Candlemass.
I have the DVD with him live and felt he did a good job replacing Messiah but his natural voice is much higher. I can agree with the Kevin Dubrow comparison. Maybe he should sing for Quiet Riot now. \m/
At first, didn't really like this cover to much, sound aside. Vocals really help there cover here. Defiantly not better than the original but nonetheless and honorable mention.
I wanted to give this 2 thumbs up but when the song kicks in at the middle, You fell real short, Like gay short. How could you do that? You destroyed this song.
his voice, like the sound of a man falling into a void, peacefully and acceptfully welcoming his fate
um, was this one of my old accounts? cause i don't remember writing this.
@ianciti that's happened to me also
after years of listening to other bands disgrace Ronnie's work - i think we have a winner here. this band is solid. this man can bring the fire. excellent muical support behind him as well. if ya wait long enough someone decent arrives.
fan: no one will do a good cover of this track
Robert: hold my beer
none taken sweetheart. he's the only vocalist i have ever seen that could get this close. if they have a Dio tribute concert they should call this man first.
yes, is a good vocal approach
Epic.
Rest In Peace - Ronnie James Dio.
We all miss you.
I miss Solitude Aeturnus.
A shame many have never heard of them. Been into them since 2001
Yeah me too.. I've seen them live many nights from their beginnings to their end. They had such a wall of doom sound.. Freaking fantastic. Their doom sound was unprecedented.
I miss them so much. A fan since 1995-1996.
Solitude Aeturnus was great. They did an awesome version of Heaven and hell on their Adagio album.
Yeah. You may also like ''Kill the king' that Robert Lowe did with Candlemass and 'Man on the silver mountain' he did with Concept of God.
Also he is now singing in the band Grief Collector and I like their stuff.

This cover would make Dio proud
Best Dio-cover I ´ve ever heard ! Normally the singers of the covering bands can´t reach Ronnie´s intensity and range, but this guy... respect ! And the instrumental section is very good, too .
I miss Dio and I miss Solitude.
Wow, that was incredible, I've never heard Lowe sing with a rasp like that. He's got a great voice and that version was quite impressive. I must find this tribute cd.
Greg Young cool, man!..just do it!..i had it, unfortunatelly i lost it. :'-(
Total bummer. This is the best Dio tribute I've ever heard. Yngwie doing Gates Of Babylon is insane.
@@gregyoung5805 And Yngwie done this WITH Ronnie!

Cantou com o coração como Dio sempre cantou todas as músicas de sua carreira. Maravilhoso!!!
Been a fan since the beginning. Seen them open for Mercyful Fate and headline local shows. They are the greatest unknown band around.
wow this cover is completely on fire. Robert completely freaking nailed this perfectly.
Fuking awesome.
Great thing about this vocalist is he has that loudness that you think of when you think of ronnie's vocals. An excellent cover.
A great cover of a great song. Damn I miss Ronnie!
this is one of the cleanest hardest covers i have ever heard. more people need to know about this.
You are great fan of this band...all right!!!solid band...epic...yeah!
Righteous cover!
Them vocals are on dios level that’s amazing please put this on Spotify
Awesome cover!!! What an incredible voice!! I love it!! Thank you, Darlena, for sending this!!!
i agree with the Kevin DuBrow comparison. i also think this is the best of the many Dio covers. they flipping nailed it.
AWESOME vocals, and cover :)
This man sounds really good.
Gotta love Robert Lowe's voice
It seems that solitude Aeturnus and Opeth can do a cover with such excellence...like nobody's business!
John Perez great guy and very underrated musician
Fall 0f 1992, I went into Sound Warehouse in Arlington, Texas to pick up Megadeth's 'Countdown to Extinction.' John worked there and was blasting 'Beyond the Crimson Horizon.' I left with two CDs that day and the Solitude Aeturnus CD had 100x more play than the Megadeth. I became a fan for life.
AMAZING
good version...but still DIO is untouchable....his voice always shook my soul
I wish I could give it thousands and thousands of likes!
uallll que cover .... magicoo
Awesome cover.
Shame on the night
for places I've been and what I've seen
for giving me the strangest dreams
But you never let me know just what they mean
so oh oh so shame on the night alright
And shame on you
you've stolen the day
snatched it away
but I saw the sky and I never want to die
Now you know the reason why
I say oh shame on the night
You don't care what you've done
so I think I'd better run
Shame on the sun
for the light you sold
I've lost my hold
on the magic flame
but now I know your name
Oh lord just go the way you came
again oh oh oh
shame on the night
You don't care what you've done
so I know I'd better run
Shame on the night
for places I've been and what I've seen
for giving me the strangest dreams
But you never let me know just what they mean
so oh oh so shame on the night alright
And shame on you
You don't care what you've done
here I go
I've got to run
Shame on the night
shame shame on you
Shame on the dream
shame on the sun and you
shame on the night
for the light you sold
I've lost my hold
on the magic flame
but now I know your name
Shame on the night
shame on you
shame on all of you
shame on the night
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

I've seen them do the Iron Maiden cover live and it was killer. Chills.. not a big Iron Maiden but they made love that song.
Long time since 🌈 album. Dio will be missed by me 4 sure
thanks for your comment, have a great day
Holy fuuuuuck! The vocals carry this cover through and through. This and Fates Warning's were the best.
Jorn did a superb tribute also.
impressive vocal chops
know what ? Here and there his voice recalls to my mind Kevin Du Brow !!!
Personally like this better than the original
This is a great cover so you are forgiven..
Good cover but it still makes me want to listen to Ronnie over the cover song O.O
No shit
Dio is absolutely amazing, but i have to say that i like this version more..the singer is fucking amazing..very very powerful...Hail to DIO \m/
FUCKING GOOD
good version
this rocks rob lowe can rip solitude was a great band
I have the DVD with him live and felt he did a good job replacing Messiah but his natural voice is much higher. I can agree with the Kevin Dubrow comparison. Maybe he should sing for Quiet Riot now. \m/
This version sounds better than Dio's..This seems to have more feel
Poney Master like it.
It seems like the tone is too high. It doesn't vary much when it should. However, it is a great cover.
If Mjölnir had a voice im pretty sure it would sound like this guy....
made in bellevue washington in the 80 s where heart rock band and alice in chains is from
not anymore...he did for a while
Doesnt this guy sing for Candlemass now?
At first, didn't really like this cover to much, sound aside. Vocals really help there cover here. Defiantly not better than the original but nonetheless and honorable mention.
los angelos is and seattle is interstate 5 tj ti vancover canada
He owned dio sorry as much as I enjoyed dio Robert Lowe owned him here
I still prefer Dio's version.
No offense but I prefer Solitude's version.
I wanted to give this 2 thumbs up but when the song kicks in at the middle, You fell real short,
Like gay short. How could you do that? You destroyed this song.
Better than JORN !!!
