Everybody talks about the engine capacity, but no one cares about the A200 getting torsion beam. The A250 have independent suspension. That’s a huge deal in handling!

so most people came to this video to whine about the 1.33L? All car brands are doing it. Or do you guys think a bmw 120 still has a 2.0L engine? You rather have a 2.0L petrol engine? So you rather have a fuel consumption above 8/9liters per 100km than? People are complaining about fuel costs, but don't like a smaller engine that needs less fuel? just hilarious xD Some even say it's a slow car etc. It's a A200, so like a A3, golf, etc. If you really want speed you should look at an actual sporty version like the A250 comparable to a Golf GTI or a A35 amg which will be like a Golf R or S3 or even the A45 amg like the RS3. the A200 is not supposed to be quick... it's in between quick and eco...
Thats not the problem, the engine size compared to the horsepower is not logic. It is most likely going to break around 120.000 km or having to make big reparations to the engine.
Fuel consumption? all older cars with big engines-low horsepower have a better fuel consumption than the newer turbo engines. Thats the problem with the ''new'' downsized engines.

well, i actually like this car. yep it has only 1.3 turbo engine, which will not sound great, yep 8 sec is not quick, but it's perfectly enough for a city relaxed drive. i mean most of the people do not even use this 163 hp. yep this car looks ugly, but all a classes always were ugly :D interior is just superb. wheel looks awesome, it looks like s class there. also lights are cool and overall i am impressed they can get 8 sec to 100kph with 1.3 liters engine :)

Whats the top speed of this car? I drive a 2006 1.6T Astra(115HP) and i went to 233kmh with no turbos.

Les ingés merco auraient pas bosser en partenariat avec Renault si c'était de la merde, la raison pour laquelle ils sont allés chez eux c'est justement parce que leurs moteurs entrée de gamme n'était pas fiables. Le nouveau 1.3 est juste ouf mécaniquement parlant et au top de la technologie.

Non, c'est encore faux, le 1.5dci est monté sur toutes les entrées de gamme diesel mercedes justement parce que c'est un moteur ultra robuste et fiable tout en ayant des très bonne courbes de puissance et couple, ca a troué le cul aux ingés mercedes quand ils sont venus faire leurs essais sur le banc, qu'il soit possible de produire un aussi bon moteur pour aussi peu cher. Le 1.3 est super coupleux, à une distribution variable ainsi qu'un calage d'allumage variable, un nouveau turbo commandé électriquement, un bloc entièrement alu avec revêtement laser dans les cylindres et j'en passe. Le temps ou les allemandes régnait est bien bien loin derrière.
