Thanks for sharing. I love the mouse trap board game but definitely saved me from buying it myself. It is a cool talking piece but I have too many new wave toys already.

Best one I’ve had from World’s Smallest was the Uno cards. Been having fun using them with friends and family, even collected my favorite themes like Zelda, Mario, Kiki’s Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, and One Piece. Anyway, gotta say, those cards fitting between your fingers sure gave everyone a good laugh, but regardless, it was an enjoyable experience like regular size Uno. Anyway, can’t wait to see what else World’s Smallest can impress me with. Mouse Trap looks neat, but it would’ve been fun to play the whole board game itself than just the trap.

I always felt the game was about as bland as could be, and the gizmo was its only saving grace! 😉

@@GenXGrownUp Yea, by the looks of it, it’s not that appealing. But back in the day, the trap was the “star of the show”. Heard that many kids rather see it again rather than play the game, even tho it gets repetitive quickly, lol.

I'm gonna be paying more attention. Being tiny & cute is one thing, but the engineering here at this scale is really impressive.

Wow never knew this existed! The original was the only board game I have ever flipped off of a table out of anger!... although flipping over the bank and knocking down a the houses and hotels on monopoly probably counts! 😆

      @GenXGrownUp  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Oooh, I think Hulking out on Monopoly _absolutely_ counts! My grandmother never lived down flipping a Scrabble board in frustration in her youth - we ribbed her about that story until the day she passed! 🥰

Turn the crank, snap the plank,
Hit the boot & down the shoot.
Watch it roll, hit the pole,,
    In the tub a rub-a-dub.
Put the man in the pan,
The trap is set, now drop the net
The 1980's version, the version from when I was a kid (I guess they changed it later years).
The full-size game takes into account it won't always work (if it fails you keep playing). I have a distinct memory of when I first got the original full-sized game as a kid (in the 80's) I used to never be able to get it to work... One day I finally got it, after that I had few problems getting it to work. I must have tried it a hundred times before my first success.
I never understood why that was the case (I wasn't noticeably doing things differently). My best guess has been that it took some time for the pieces to fully fit properly into the board. I wonder if the same holds true for the small one? Only mentioning it as it's something I do distinctly remember about the full-sized version from when I was a kid...

My copy of the game was missing the hand that went on top of the post to put the second ball in motion. I never did get a replacement, we always just wedged a piece of wood on top of it.

@@GenXGrownUp Sorry, I meant the full-sized one I had when I was little.
I never thought about it back then, but I had a lot of defective toys and games that never got returned for a replacement, nor did my family ever write to the companies for a remedy. I had a defective remote control R2-D2. A Coleco Telstar Combat game that have a messed up display. A Coleco Telstar Arcade console where the pack-in cartridge was defective, then the lightgun started to malfunction after a month or two. A train set in a box (N-gauge) that never worked properly. A slot car set where the cars wouldn't stay on the track.
Today, I would return all that stuff for a replacement or a refund.
