Oh thank you :D I think that was one of the reasons we loved the idea of a cruise wedding. It seemed like it could be nice and simple, and not too much planning needed too. Oh yes, I completely agree with that, it was very nice to have the closest there on the day. It felt a lot less pressure than if we had everyone we knew there. We are intending to celebrate with people back home sometime soon so we can still all get together :) Awwwwww you are so so kind, thank you so much. You really are so lovely! :D x

Oh congratulations! I hope you have the most perfect wedding :D as much as my day felt absolutely perfect, I got a little flustered in the morning. I would remember to take deep breaths, and plan everything a little earlier (e.g hair and makeup, lunch/breakfast etc.) than you think you may need to. Just relax, and enjoy your day. Our wedding co-ordinator made sure absolutely everything ran very smoothly, so if you're worried about not knowing what to do, the captain and wedding co-ordinator will run you through the ceremony really nicely and it will flow naturally :) I would also take the days before the wedding a bit easy, don't tire yourself out before your big day, as it is that, a big day haha. I hope this was a little helpful, and if you have any more questions about weddings onboard a cruise, I will do my best to answer them :) It is far less stressful than having to organise your own cake, music, venue, flower arrangments etc. which is a massive bonus. But my biggest tip is to just be in the moment, let yourself feel all of your emotions and love, and it will go perfectly :)

I've asked Alex to forward me the email with the flower options and cake options so within the next few days I will reply on here some of the options for you so you can get a rough idea of what you might be offered. My flowers were calla lillies, and our cake was vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and cream inside. It was fun picking out all of the options, and you can even choose your own music if you want to :) I'll send a list to you within the next few days so you can have a peep :) it might be worth noting however that our wedding package was a rather out of date one due to covid, so it may not be 100% accurate to what you may be offered, but at least it will give you an idea

I'll pop the options down below: Traditional flowers: -Lillies** (white) -Roses (red, pink, white and cream) -Tropical (white) The flowers listed above (traditional) can be made into hand tied bouquets, posy bouquets, teardrop bouquets, bridesmaid posy bouquets, corsages or button holes. Contemporary flowers: -Gerberas** (white, red and cerise) -Cala lillies** (white) -Exotic (bright) The flowers listed above (contemporary) can be made into hand tied bouquets, bridesmaid posy bouquets, corsages and button holes. Room flowers: -Lillies** (white) -Roses (red, pink, white and cream) -Tropical (white) -Exotic (bright) Any flowers listed with a double asterix (**) next to them are available on cruises departing from Southampton only. Cakes: -Sponge cake (vanilla or chocolate) -Fruit cake I'm assuming all of the cakes come coated in icing, as ours was a vanilla sponge and was decorated with icing and little iced flower shapes on top. I'm afriad I can't say for certain the prices for any of these things as we got a really old package, and then they upgraded us (which was blooming incredible) meaning the some things we paid for and some things we weren't expecting, yet were there as a nice surprise. The breakfast in bed was fantastic, so make sure to book it for a time that lets you really enjoy the experience, before going on-shore or doing any other activities. (That was a slight mistake we made!) And I would book in for your hair and makeup a bit earlier than you may think you need to, because like I said, I personally got a bit flustered! But there are lots of optional add ons, and with regards to making decisions about the ceremonies, you will get to choose the vows from a list when putting the ring on each others fingers, and also you can take a CD with your choice of music on :) If you have any more questions I'll do my best to answer them, but the great thing about having your wedding on a cruise is that there aren't too many things to organise, which means you can leave it to 4 months before the cruise, and still feel fully in controll and happy when making those decisions :D But we did feel exactly the same as you feel right now, the anticipation is difficult haha.

I didn't know you could get married on a cruise ship
We did our first cruise this year, next year we're getting married on our next cruise do you have any tips please? Or do's and don'ts?
