I bought a walkman (Sony NW-A306) a few months after getting a Light Phone. For the first couple months I was trying to convince myself I was fine without Apple Music but I really enjoy music and for me, having a larger amount of music with all of the features of a streaming service honestly improves my quality of life. Kind of annoying to have another device but I love being able to have all of my music while still getting all of the benefits of the Light Phone.
Immediate Sub! I’m lovin’ your vibe! I’m actually about to switch from my iPhone to Light Phone right now haha glad I found you! Might try to document it too! How’s it feel so far?
thank you! so far i really like the simplicity of it and the disconnect from smart phones. some things i'm not loving are the call quality and the clunkiness - the processing power is pretty slow and can have you waiting a minute when trying to move between screens, and i find it tends to freeze up if someone calls me and i'm in middle of using one of its tools like music player or directions
@@jenyi you’re welcome & oh no, still setting up so haven’t called anyone but my voicemail so far haha I’m usually impatient with long wait times but I guess I’m learning to be patient with it. When my contacts were syncing I thought it crashed or something but I got it to finish up. Hopefully those issues don’t continue! I’m enjoying the feel so far, the haptics & backlight are so nice!
@@jenyi im going to get the light phone 3 as ive had my light phone 2 for 4 years but your still good they commited to doing software updates for light phone 2 for 4 more years and they will still sell the light phone 2 so you dont need to upgrade if you dont want to yet
Ive been wanting to do this for a while. My plan is to buy a lightphone and use my iphone as a "tablet". then as i adjust i plan to buy a boox palma to replace my iphone all together. I just wish the lightphone had a transit app, wallet app and could send/receive photos in text (family pet photos tbh).
a transit app would be cool! i doubt its processing power can run it at its current iteration though - the directions seem to cause glitches if someone tries to call you. i also would love a wallet app!
yeah it's definitely clunky in some unexpected areas. if you have a chance to try one out i'd suggest that before making the purchase because it's non-refundable. for me it seems to glitch a lot when trying to run one of their tools that pull cellular data like directions or podcasts so for now i'm just avoiding using those, which is a bummer. overall i'm still liking the freedom from screen anxiety it gives me though!
The Light Phone does have Wi-Fi calling if that helps you at home. Miy Light Phone has been pretty good with signal. I've even made calls from a boat a little off shore while on vacation previously. Hope it gets sorted for you 🙂
Great vibes! You're cool :D
I came across this phone recently so it's great to see your take on it. Would love to see "A Day In The Life" with this device.
that's a great idea! i want to give it a few weeks to settle in and make the necessary lifestyle adjustments and will shoot an update video soon :)
Amazing! I'll keep a lookout.@@jenyi

it's a doggy playdate for my dog with my friend's dog!
♥️♥️♥️
I’ve been tempted to get me but looks like it moves a little slower than I thought. I would get more anxiety using it. 😂😭

that's good to know! I did see that option so I may A/B it and see what works better around the house. it seems to have eased up a bit now!
That's cool
thanks!
