8. Prophecy must be rooted in the love of God. The love of God is embodied in Christ and in the giving of Christ
9. The goal of prophesying, foretelling the future, or speaking a new message from God to the people is to convict of sin, bring to account, and reveal the secrets of the heart, which then bring the hearer to total submission and worship of God
10. Prophecy is the result of the Holy Spirit at work in the believer. Hence, all prophecy must be led by the conscious submission of the prophet to the Holy Spirit
