His story would continue the long forgotten storyline of Sonic Chronicles and the epic long awaited showdown on Professor Eggman Nega.(Plus more of Lyric’s ancient artifact secrets before the Exiled’s Resurrection.)
I'm glad the mod included some Bryce voice lines. For people who don't know, he also voiced Silver in Death Battle. Just to show how much he likes the character.
At the time, he had only voiced Silver in two titles, and given how little Silver is used by SEGA, he probably felt like he could do it without much repercussion, but still used an alias to play it safe. Still, with how massive Bryce’s filmography is, I feel like some people can take all existing clips of Bryce’s Silver, and then start mixing and matching from other roles for a sort of Frankenstein’s Monster of a voice performance.
No, The base was already mixed over if Shadow's return in Heroes was a good thing or not, and his own 2005 game did nothing but add fuel to that fire. In fact, this game cemented Shadow as by far the most divisive character in the series, bar none.

Shadow's game had bad reception because he literally died with an awesome character arc so everyone didn't need him to come back. And of course the story and all the multiple endings and the over the top edgyness of the game. But it doesn't have to be that way if the game is just good. Shadow's game was made because the company saw he was popular and wanted to bring him back. Silver on the other hand,deserves it because he's practically been setup to fail everytime he appears in main games. His debut game was the supposed worst Sonic game of all time. So since people didn't like that game,they decided to almost remove him from the franchise, to the point where it's rare to see him these days. The only other mainline games he's appeared in were generations and forces. He was a nothing character in generations along with everyone else and played a small role in forces,even cutting out the fact that,that game was again badly received. It's clear he was meant to be a big character in the franchise. He was in a trio with Sonic and Shadow(the two most popular characters),and had his own story and even super form. And also the fact that he's a hedgehog.

Cause the Final Horizons DLC showed the possibilities of having other playable characters besides Sonic work in some way, and Shadow Generations definitely nailed it for the Year of Shadow I think. Why have him go through the mainline levels when he can explore levels from the _spin-off_ games? He's had major appearances there.

True, but in theory an environment based off this stage could be designed as a platformer level. I know I’m reaching a bit, but Silver has considerably less to work with than some other mainstays.
I know that Sega can transform a racing level into a normal level, but if we follow the logic of generations it won't happen because they are only the big releases.

He literally only has 3 games as Silver (TSR, Mario & Sonic 2020, and Sonic X Shadow Generations), so there’s not much to draw from.
