Lovely overview, nice to see one of these featured:) Just a bit of info from my perspective as an owner of one of these. With these the base price is good (for a Hymer!) but a lot of things that we as Brits would consider normal are optional extras as we caravan differently from many of our continental friends. For example the 12v system would be an extra as is that enormous under bed storage access flap (which I wouldn’t be without ours it’s brilliant!) as is the shower as is that sink cover chopping board, as is the spare wheel, as is swapping the Truma fire for a combi 4syatem as is hot water. There are lots of other options like additional sockets, mptlm upgrades for massive payloads, a frame bike racks, carpets, underfloor heating, and on and on! Including the ability to choose from at least 2 no cost upholstery options and 3or 4extra cost ones! At least you can get what you want and not pay for what you won’t use. To make it into a 5 berth you need the sleeping roof upgrade (schlafdach) which gives a massive 150x193cm bed upstairs of the same sort found in camper vans and reached via lightweight aluminium ladder but that’s a €2.5-3k I think option ;-) on the plus side it’s low so tows brilliantly and the build quality is excellent. Ours ended up at £1000 more than the swift Quattros we were also considering as we were shopping based on bed sizes not van size! Ours suits us brilliantly :)

Always liked the potential to garage these pop top style caravans to keep them looking good for many years to come. Would definitely need a shower though, as it's a deal breaker without one!
Thanks for the interesting review. We have the Nova 442 L, which is very similar to this but with some packaged upgrades. Ours has the higher fixed roof, and also a shower tray in the compact washroom. It's a great design, and perfect for our family of three. It also tows really well with that AL-KO chassis, and the MIRO of around 1150 kg with a motor mover and optional spare tyre allows for a useful payload of up to 250 kg (we never get anywhere near this figure!). It's also really well designed for winter use, and easily coped with Christmas in Snowdonia. Thanks also for solving the quandary of where to put that rather solid sink cover when in transit - putting it in the cutlery drawer works really well :-)
