Great video. As a note, the brightness isn’t an issue with the led bulbs. It’s that typically reflector headlights are designed to reflect light from halogen bulbs. The light chip on leds are typically in a different spot and thus the light is reflected without the typical cutoff or focus.
Love the video and the car. Very striking with those LEDs. For future ones, could you show us what you're actually doing with your hands? As in a closeup, particularly when popping the cover, so yes, please document with POV. Thanks again, buddy! CHeers from Australia.
Since having the LED lights in the car, do you have any complaints about the quality or brightness or anything about them? I'm thinking about buying some here soon.
Those leds look realy bright! How do you like them at night? I have leds on my spyder but i seem to piss off drivers coming the opposite way. I guess they spread light all over even tho they are set to the correct height.
hey Alex - I'm a big fan of them! I understand pissing off other drivers though, I get flashed at a lot. I'm actually working on getting some facelift headlights to avoid this.
SixtyTwoEleven in my opinion, it’s not worth the risk. So many spyders sit in junkyards due to pre cat death. The peace of mind was worth the work, and with only 41k on the engine, I wanted to make sure it survived.
@@millersmr294 What risk? On a jalopy?! Most spyders have just died a natural death. There is so much scaremongering around the subject of precats. Virtually every review you read mentions them, yet as an active member of the MR2 community, I have yet to encounter first hand anyone that has had an issue with them. On top of that, it was never something actually acknowledged by Toyota, as otherwise, there would have been a class action lawsuit against them. But gut away if it makes you feel happy!!!
SixtyTwoEleven well, if you saw my next video, i already did gut them! And to my understanding, Toyota did fix the pre cat issue as facelift models don’t see nearly as many deaths from the cats
@@millersmr294 Not sure what you mean, but they are Osram LED driving H4. They work great, only the light on the dash doesn’t. I wonder if it is sensitive to the lower resistance of LEDs, but on my Chevy Cruze they worked flawlessly.

Thanks Thomas! And sure, I will do my best to get close ups more.
Not bad man. Keep it up. Hopefully see ya on the road soon
Thanks a lot dude! Appreciate it, and you will!
That's a beautiful car! I have a red one :-)

I would have people flash their lights at me a ton. I recently went to facelift headlights though and those come with projectors.
What size bulb is required for the daylight runners?

Are these lights too bright? I know in another video, you said you're swapping the lights for the face lift models. Do other drivers get mad?
Sorry for the late reply Peter. In the pre-facelift, non projectors, they were way too bright. Drivers were definitely upset haha
could I have the link for the headlight bulbs?
I bought my E with them installed, but I’ll see if the past owner can give me more info.
Did those bulbs require a canbus adapter?
Sorry for the late reply! No they didn’t.
Where did you get the luggage rack? I want one!
It was on my car when I bought it! I’ve since sold it though.
If the pre-cats have been there for 19 whole years with no trouble why would you need to be taking them out now?

I gutted mp precats after 17 years. They were in perfect condition. But a lot of owners blow their engines because the precats fail...
When I installed LEDs, my high beam light on dashboard doesn’t work anymore. Did it happen to anybody else also?
Interesting! I wonder if the LEDs you bought don’t have a high beam option?

@@cookiemonster5201 interesting! I wonder if that’s it, or if maybe it’s just a silly wiring thing?
