Turtle growth is fast. In one year it becomes double. Sir your previous video was really helpful. If the shell becomes dirty, we can wash with betadine. Sir, your every videos like informative lectures..🙏
Thank you so much 🙂, as betadine has copper and iodine, it can be harmful if your dilution is not right and if they ingest the liquid
Dilute the betadine to a 10:1 ratio and also wash the turtle shell throughly in running water, also the liquid should not go near the mouth
A simpler way is to do a salt water wash

Currently I own 2 red eared sliders they're babies less than 6 months so they don't need much space as of now, I bought a 50 litre aquarium and put them in it with basking light on top
But what should I do when they get bigger, because I have heard they can grow upto 12inches, so how much litre aquarium should I get or should I get a plastic tank? Please help

baby turtles are very shy if u will keep them in basking area they will jump into water . we just have to keep the light onn for 6 to 8 hours they will come on own to bask .

Hi sir, I was just planning on getting turtle and voilà you made the video I needed. Thanks a ton. So I have one little confusion. Do turtle tank not require any type of filter and what about cycling?
it is better to use dechlorinated water, can be a couple of days old, as the water level is low a simple air pump will do so the water is moving, also regular cleaning is needed

Nice Video Sir, I would like to tell about my setup .
I have a different setup at my house. I have kept them in a balcony where there is no direct sunlight on them but I have kept one big rock inside the tub for basking and I have installed heater inside from day one. They were coin size when I bought them in the month of Nov-2021 Now they have grown bigger than my palm size. They don't really need Bulb if you are keeping them in balcony and direct sunlight too. My turtles(2 turtles) don't like black soldier fly larvae because I am feeding them sticks only from day one.
One suggestion for all the beginners! don't feed blood worms to coin size turtles after buying because they will remain same size if they are only eating blood worms.

Don’t give up on sticks keeping feeding them sticks only. One day they will surely eat. Please don’t feed blood worms.

Their metabolism does slow down in colder months, yet keep adding sal in the water, it will help them, and you are doing the right thing by exposing them daily to sunlight

I'm from Kolkata and the water temperature during the summers reaches 32-34°, is this sustainable for the turtle keeping? as they live mostly in shallow tanks its very difficult to lower the temperature, it gets hot very quickly

sir i have 2 lionhead ranchus in my tank from 3 days my one fish is little inactive and swimming in corner of the tank , fish is also eating food .I also perfomed water change and added some salt in it now what can i do sir to recover the fish
I think the fish is fine, there is an issue with your tank or filter,
