This is by far, the best version of Jenny's Welcome, I've ever come across, ever. Better than Seamus Ennis' version I've heard. Sorcha is so clear, un-rushed, playing each note carefully and flawlessly, no fumbling or 'blurbing' through the hard bits, like I've heard many others do - and for this reason, this is the version I'm studying. Thank you so much for putting this up. (for any other learner like me, try slow it down here on TH-cam to half speed, or even quarter speed for the 'hard bits' - and it still plays great) This is brilliant!
wow what a compliment! i’m only seeing this now, i’m glad i could help you with your piping, i haven’t quite grasped what Ennis does in this tune (still a bit of a work in progress😂) but i’m glad you enjoyed it:) -Sorcha
@@sorchascolai8078 Hey! Thank you for the nice reply! Yep, this is hands-down, THE best version I've heard.. to be honest Ennis' version sounds a bit jumbly in places compared to you, and other players I find muddle up the tricky bits, where you are really well paced, clear, and steady. You obviously spent a lot of time playing this slowly and correctly first, before you came up to this speed. Anyhow, I've been listening to this ( a lot) for the last 2 months now. I've slowed it down on my computer to about 3/4 speed, and its still brilliant and very clear to follow.. so already for me as a learner, thanks to your playing, I'm about half way there with it! Thank you again, you have a very promising bright future as a Master Piper, and you are certainly joining my list of favourite pipers, Seamus Ennis, Catherine Ashcroft, Paddy Keenan, Dicky Deegan, Ronan Browne, Finbar Furey, Mark Redmond, Louise Mulcahy
Greatest lady piper I have ever heard, please put up some more stuff on Facebook, really heart lifting piping and a joy to listen to.
absolutely beautiful playing. Thank you.
