As someone that has a child with autism im shocked this father wasnt prepared for this, earmuffs are great or ear plugs if they are comfortable wearing them also social stories help and having a exit plan if needed
Oh my God I was thinking the same thing, and her touching/rubbing his back would have just made things worse! Why wouldn't the father, at the very least, ask if there was a quiet place for his son to sit since the loud clapping could have triggered him on its own. My son always has his tablet and blanket when he goes places, he isn't overly sensitive to sound but it will still bother him at times.
People with autism can be over stimulated by noise and lights, different things changes in their regular routines. It’s not an attack he’s just trying to shut out t noise.
Sensory overload is the best term I have heard to describe it. Meltdown is a figure of speech just like "autistic attack" would be. @@Controversialopinions69
It's known as SIB. Self Injurious Behavior. The father could have removed his son from the noisy environment which might have prevented further problems for the child.
What if he didn't think of that..plus maybe he thought but didn't know who will help to check on his son when he is presenting on the stage! He also has his own difficulties with ears 😢I'm glad they stepped in to help out...
Wait…she turned off the French translation of The Little Prince that the boy WOULD understand and be comforted, and then read is in Chinese language only which boy cannot understand but he liked it better? That makes no sense to me. Is it just her voice that he drew comfort from and not hearing his special story?
To a lot of autistic people the sound of a voice can be like nails on a chalkboard or it can be calm and soothing it depends on how the voice is projected and how the sound of the voice appears so in this case the boy understood she was trying to tell him the story that didn't matter to him because when he heard the sound of the story through the machine it sounded like nails on a chalkboard it was harsh on his ears but when she spoke it was soothing it was soft she was careful how she spoke how she projected her voice, has someone who is ASD I can tell you that my father would often do that when he spoke to me why I could not stand the sound of my mother's voice which to me was like nails on a chalkboard and don't go on about her singing when she was singing she was worse than Edith on All in the family.
My kid would watch movies in another language. Once he found out you can change the language on a DVD, he would watch it in other languages. Kids are intuitive in learning. The kid probably knows the story by heart, so he's knows what's happening.

It's not known as autism attack, it doesn't attack. It's more commonly known as a meltdown
Or just over stimulated

People with autism need to be treated with the same respect as everyone else. Education is important. It has to be done in the right way
Is the sound of her voice that calms him down... As opposed to the electronic voice.

I was just thinking the same thing.
为什么中国纠结一些根本不是问题的问题呢?他们还不会把全球变暖看成一种翻译问题了吧
中国还在纠结这个问题?
