Maybe it's age, maybe it's rose tinted glasses, but I loved motorsport then, the noise, the smell, the machinery, the sound, the bravery, the raw speed..... it bores the shit out of me now. Soon we will have self-piloting ecars, droning around a virtual tracks planting daffodils as they go...... fu3k that.
I dont think its age, back then things were more mechanical, it was a battle of engineering and a battle of the drivers in itself in this dangerous, exciting, peak of motorsport. honestly there was many great things that group B innovated. the drivers were human you knew they were scared and there was many many interesting characters. older in anything is usually more simple and more humane and that what made us feel connected. technology has progressed but as us humans are a bit left behind. but yeah fuck self piloting e-cars indeed.
@@karidesjumbo Thanks for that! 100% agree. Unfortunately it's seems to be the same in all sports now, overpaid cloned H&S robots, no flawed & exciting geniuses. Remember when turbos stated to appear in F1.... The mega Brabhams and Renaults, flew on the straights, only to be overtaken by the lighter Cossies in the bends... Drivers had to make the best of what they got. As a spectacle, this was gold.
La mejor epoca de los rallies pero de largo, sin la menor duda, pilotazos llevando autenticas máquinas, hay valian tus manos nada de tonterias de tanta electronica...👍👍👏👏👏👏👋👋👋
Fantastic, my favourite rally from my favourite era 👌
That 205 is a Legend

Bruno Saby was right, until the Lancia Delta S4 showed up at the end of the season.
