    This is all past now. The present reality is mass starvation in Afghanistan. We as Indians should go all out to send food and medicines to Afghanistans to save our Afghan brothers and sisters from starvation. The world can find other ways to control and handle Taliban but not at the cost of millions of Afghani lives.

    The Afghan government wanted the civil war to continue so that the US would stay so it could loot the treasury. There was no easy way to leave. The Taliban did not target Americans if the US stopped giving air support to the Afghan army. Once air support was withdrawn it was only a matter of time before the Taliban arrived in Kabul.

    He criticizes the American administration for not "prioritizing" peace negotiations between the Kabul govt and the Taliban. But the Taliban made clear that they had no interest in that. When you're going to finally leave a place you've invaded and occupied, you have little leverage. But at some point we had to leave. We'd been there 20 years. Even if it made sense to invade the country in the first place to go after Bin Laden, there was no coherent reason for staying after that rationale was no longer relevant. But, fear not warmongers, I'm sure they'll find a another place to occupy soon enough

    • @obligatoryhandle
      @obligatoryhandle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And whary are we supposed to believe, that the swift and total collapse of the Afghan government was as a result of shutting them out of these negotiations? That looks like nonsense. What we saw on the ground of a Taliban takeover just proves that we we right not to bother bringing them to the table. As it appears they didn't even exist.

      I recall hearing the Afghan government was barely paying and feeding their army. They weren't buying them boots! Their soldiers were literally going hungry. The government was pocketing the money. So... A lot of the soldiers just quit before the Taliban showed up. They were not getting paid to be shot at. They went to get a job that PAID them so they could feed their kids.
