This is NOT a promotional video. I pay for all of my flights and hotels (and I always tell you how much!) so I can be as honest and impartial as possible. I do not receive any special treatment that wouldn’t otherwise be publicly accessible, in fact, the hotels and airlines have no idea about my visit and that's the way I like it!

The “anonymous” bit is so important. For example, I don’t believe a word from Sam Chui and completely ignore his reviews. Keep up the good work.

    • @brettkear2933

Sam Chui is a fraud!! Sadly, Trek Trendy appears to be heading in the same direction.

Ironically he posted at the exact moment I saw your notification come haha. I think the work Sam does needs to be done, but I agree that his videos simply shouldn’t be called reviews. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Trek Trendy ironically used to speak out against Sam in his videos pretty directly in the past as well.
My views remain the same. All kinds of content about the industry is relevant and welcome (even sponsored pieces)… but, we need to be careful with the word “review” and save it for unsponsored, preferably anonymous, trips.
Trust me, in the far future, I’d LOVE to be a guy walking into a brand new Rosewood before it’s open to the public- or try out a new business class product before it’s flying… BUT if I do every get the chance to do such things, those are NOT reviews and I’ll make the distinction clear.

BKK Airways owning the Koh Samui airport gives the exclusivity. A great airline. If you turn up early they’ll bump you on the next flight. Always a pleasure to fly.

I have flown Bangkok many times in last 12 months and very happy. At one stage during covid (remember that) they were giving a paper carry bag with water, cake and roll when disembarking the plane so unsure what that was about. The Coral lounge is very basic but still nice and almost private. Great service but the best is you are away from the general terminal with screaming kids, disrespectful travellers laying across four seat and bags taking another 2 and their rubbish on another while senior citizens have to stand. Still waiting for the Kimpton report before i book my September trip although my stay at Intercontinental and Holiday Inn were brilliant, Kimpton and Six Sense same IHG group so expect the same although prices go up and makes it beyond me. As for the people bagging Sam Chui his videos are industry insights and behind the scenes and are great, if things are not what he expects he calls it out. They are different theme to flip flop traveller and well worth watching. 🙏👍

Noticed the date error on the screen and you corrected it in the description box 👍 That meal/snack tray was better than what's served on some flights in premium economy, and they use real silverware, nice touch. The plane might be older and tired, but it has character, wouldn't want to be wearing short shorts my thighs would stick to the seats 😉

Absolutly nothing wrong with Krabi, I've been there before (pre-channel), but I am still trying to build the channel to a place where I can comfortably visit some more obscure palces. Fact of the matter is there is simply much more interest in Phuket and Samui. I'm sure Krabi (and Hua Hin, Pattaya and many other Thai destinations) will make it onto the channel as time goes by.
