  • This is my first work. I composed this piece when I began to study Indian classical thought as a BA student in Tokyo, having a deep interest in Hindu pilgrimage. The title comes from the episode in the Chāndogya Upaniṣad where Uddālaka Āruṇi explains to his son Śvetaketu how the universal truth of Brahman exists in this world using the metaphor of the inside of a fig. The pictures in this video were taken in Delhi, Kalimpong, and Kathmandu.
