Just got my spark for my 54th birthday from my wife. Dig it🤘🏻
I’ve had my Spark for about a month, and I love it! It definitely makes me want to play. And for 300 bucks, I have a virtual studio full of famous amps and effects. I can easily get a ton of great sounding tones, and it has all sorts of features that make it useful as a practice amp. My wife’s favorite feature is the headphone jack.
I love this amp, I have two rockabilly tones on mine:
-Memphis Grit which is a cleaner sound and meant to replicate the Sun studios sound and all the 1950’s rockabilly players
-Setzer Strut a much dirtier tone to replicate tones like Eddie Cochran, Brian Setzer, Danny Gatton and the Psychobilly music
I've been looking at the Spark amp for a while now. Now you've gone and made this awesome video. My wife isn't going to be very happy with you.

It's a great sounding fun easy to use amp, love mine. Often use without app, download and or seabed my favorite 4 to the amp. I connect to my PC or my high end 800 watt home stereo for some incredibly great tones. Makes it fun to practice
Looked at it far a while the bought it ore order, well worth the wait. Update the firmware as soon as I got it. It's a great sounding fun easy to use amp, love mine. Damian, so glad you got to put out a video on the Spark. Very sincere and an honest assessment of the amp. It lets people put it to the test and hit it from all angles and musical styles and it also let's people know that Positive Grid has much faith in their product! I waited 6 months, 2 weeks and 2 days for my Spark to arrive. Was it worth the wait? Hell yes! I would wait a year if needed. Positive Grid did the right thing, they put the tools in place to update their customers right on their website on demand to advise latest status. The worst issue you're going to have with this practice amp is what to do with all your other practice amps. Because they may not be needed. For condo or apartment dwellers, this is THE amp but order the Presonus HD-9 headphones in the bundle or separately from a musical retailer. It makes a great package that allows you to practice any time of the day or night. You can't put a price on that! Great for the man booth or bedroom studio. Move it from room to room easily or it doubles as a sound bar for the TV and music. A great product!

I got my Spark amp last month. I'm more of a classic rocker, but damn you just made me want to learn rockabilly style. Sweet sound!

I've had mine for a couple weeks.It makes it easy to practice. I have some quality amps and haven't turned them on for awhile. Great Amp. worth waiting for.
Enjoyed that demo Damian. Sounds authentic enough for practicing and could be really useful for teaching if you just need to dial up a jam track.

Great demo Damian! I watched this before, just after you recorded this I bought the Spark and nearly 2 years later still I play it every day and love the versatility of it, and it sounds good without having to crank it up to non-domestic levels.
Awesome. After I made the demo I gave my Spark to my Father. It's now his favorite amp. :)

Great playing and authentic tones. Just ordered one of these yesterday. Cant wait to get it. Modelers are getting better and better these days. Been using Roland V technology since the VG-88. Since 2007 been using the Roland VG-99 since 2007 for my road gigs as I fly to my gigs. Positive Grid is the next step in the evolution. I stopped using tube amps back in the late 70s. They sound nice and I still have two but modelers have made recording with them a thing of the past for me.
Again, great stuff and I am a new enthusiastic subscriber.

Great demo, Damian. It’s such a joy to watch play and showcase your chops! I have no doubt that the Spark is a good amp and has some nice tones but I’m willing to bet that you could play out of a 5 watt Roland Cube and still make it sound awesome because in the end, as we all know, tone is in the fingers!
I got to see minor threat once in Camden nj. They played with ssd and agnostic front. It was a blast. My first stage diving !!!

This was refreshingly rad. I followed RHH around for a while in the 90s and had kind of lost my connection to rockabilly in the last few years. I found this video while waiting for my amp to arrive and I can’t wait to try some of this flavor!

I finally caved and got a pedal with modelled amp emulations in it to play around with a few months ago. It has a good selection of amps I like in it, but it occurred to me not long ago how something you don’t see in any of the amp modellers out there is a model that specifically emulates any small octal tube amps from the 40s like you would have heard in very early rock and roll /rockabilly - like the Gibson EH 185. I used some of the small combo models that were mids-forward like the CarrMercury, Brownface Vibroverb, and even a Mesa Boogie, Tweed Bassman and Vox AC15 with some EQ tweaking, and tiled room reverb, and managed to fake some Sun Studios tones pretty well. You got some surprisingly good 50s tones with that Spark too.
I'm looking at my Spark and I'm looking at my Gretsch G5410T Electromatic Tri-Five Hollowbody and I'm genuinely excited to get to work. Great demo of the Spark!!!

This unit is totally awesome for the cost. It is a Jam ON machine! Granted I am no pro. I've been playing for 40yrs and this thing is is one of the top 5 buy's for my guitar playin ever.

Sounds killer, man. I'm an old road-dog greaser/punk that was one of the biggest Fender tube amp snobs one could ever hope to have a nightmare about, but last year I bought one of the new Line 6 amps. (Definitely in my top 5 list of things I never thought I'd type)....once I took the time to really tweak it and figure out how it works, I can pretty much get it to sound like anything I hear in my head. Total convert now. Great review, love your channel! ~ Johnny

Awesome review
Sits on my desk and does what it's supposed to: gives me a little amp that I can play through and control with my phone. I bought one when they first released. Sold that and got the white one. Honestly, it's worth the $$ to have something convenient that sounds good and I can leave it on the shelf and control everything with my phone or the new foot controller. Good stuff!
