What this is replicating is what is called the v2. It was originally built as Obi-wan's stunt saber in ANH and then it was used for Luke in ROTJ as a belt hanger. It did not get used as a stunt in ROTJ. They needed a new saber for Luke and using this was their solution. They completely forgot to incorporate a new saber and filming began so it was too late to create a new saber. This hilt saw the most screen time. It is weathered heavily because the original paint job that was used for it, to better mimic Obi-wan's hero hilt, was chipping off badly due to its misuse. A v3 which is another shared stunt from ANH did stunt work in most of ROTJ. However the sail barge scenes were shot last and shot in the US. They didn't have the v3 stunt so they created a new stunt. That is referred to as the Yumma stunt. This stunt then was cleaned up and redressed, after filming, into the hero hilt that is the most associated with Luke's lightsaber from ROTJ. Luke's saber was an after thought and the hero only saw screen time of two post production pick up scene with one of them being deleted from the film. The v2 that you reviewed is the hilt that Luke hung on his belt the entire film. TXQ ran into issues and decided to release this design as clean with the weathered version coming later. The design of this hilt came from the long time saber community Anakin Starkiller. That's what he goes by online. Has released a ton of high end hilts on his own but also sold some designs to TXQ, this and the BOBF Luke hilt. The venting on the pommel is his logo. You can see that it's an A for Anakin.
The blade font that cycles up and down is actually probably the most realistic lightsaber blade. The blade is actually a plasma loop being emitted from the sabre hilt to the top of the containment field and then cycles back down back into the power source. from a few explanations I've seen the sabre only uses energy when it's cutting.
First. How can you have not seen the Highlander yet!? If by stun saber you’re talking about the Yuma? The one Luke used at the beginning of return of the Jedi against Jabas henchman, around the Sarlak pit, that thing should be weathered to the max. The only part of that scene that is a different hilt is when he first catches it and makes his initial swing, that’s a V2.
I kept seeing and hearing about these I am going them with my very first lightsaber 🥹 I am so excited! I went with Revan Neopixel 🥰 got to say I am a huge fan of the whole lightsaber it's just elegant. I recently watched the Acolyte and just been re-watching everything and I just finished Rebels so onto the next but after watching everything and now finally having my own place I figured Halloween was a great time to get my first one :D right around my first anniversary moving here. But I been really excited and trying to tailor my expectations with learning how to spin. I've got next to zero skills so it's a great place to start ☺ but it just got me thinking about how it's amazing how strong Star Wars still is, I even got my empire tattoo but to think about how cool it is that people who learn and put all this stuff together are the ones behind all these shows and if it wasn't for all those who love it we wouldn't get any fights on screen at all. But watching everything again I am like where is more brutality with the Sith! Where is Bane and Revan and all of them. I just love how creative those duels are and of course seeing good having to prevail in just dark odds is always great. Anyway I have super blabbed a ton but I am glad I watched this and decided to get my first saber! Super stoked to learn and hopefully I won't be too discouraged I just got to give it a try and start somewhere I'd like to have it a little more than for show but it's like 90% display :D

I was about to say a lot of this. You covered it very well.
@@jeremydrew1227 this is why I said I’ll be corrected lol I tried looking for info on it but was getting mixed results :)
You’re not alone👊

Beautiful lightsaber.....by the way, very nice Wolverine leather jacket.....HAHAHA!!
@@albertlee7607 thanks :) I got the Jacket on Luca Designs they have a nice collection of jackets I recommend
That is a clean version of the hilt. It was a shared stunt of what OWK used in Ep 4. It is the saber most used on screen.
I wonder if a saber company would do the same design as Galaxy's Edge with Luke's and Obi Wan's saber and make a thicker neck for better blade depth.
my favourite saber is still the marrok's lightsaber (Vader's sabers, nexcus), but I still like this lightsaber
How much are proffie lightsaber
Having a thin neck near the emitter has always seemed like a bad design for dueling since it looks so fragile.
Make a separate video displaying the music so that will not ding you. Just a thought!?

The only thing I hate about the lightsaber is the neck between the sleeve and the emitter
