    Be curious when I’m craving instead of giving in, observe and be curious
    Bigger better offer replacing the habit curiosity connection or kindness
    Defintion of addiction is continued use despite adverse consequences

    This is really good. Yes! It's the feeding of the ego, the suffering inherent in holding on to a self. I like that he framed this as a habit.

    I have a similar problem with thinking. I will sit for hours thinking of ideas but never doing any of them because I always want to think about it a bit more.

    Worrying about the future, totally right what started my smoking cigarettes addiction, that is what i tell people around me, if i stop worrying about the future, I can stop smoking. I stopped 2 or 3 times, my starting idea was i dont care about tomorrow, I will live day by day.

    super great talk!
    It's so important to be aware of the things you do.
    And changing habits is uper important for the brain.
    I think good friends can also help a lot, if they are honest and tell you if they realize bad behaviours :)

    Addition to thinking… like « being too much « in your head » rather than balancing your life by being more in your body, « doing » .yes, curiosity will drive that. But there is also overthinking when trying to figure out the best way to do something or to avoid making a mistake.

    I found this interesting I study Romantic NPD ( Narcissis personally disorder)
    I help people every day from the people that get randomly unexpectedly abandoned when the Romantic Narcissist is finished with the ‘chase’ part of a relationship.
    Maybe Mindfulness Meditation could help the Person with chronic NPD?
    Narcissist are consumed with having their Ego fed.

    Im so glad I just found his apps, these are the apps I invented in my mind years ago. I love the 100th monkey effect, my ideas almost always get invented in a year or so after I write them down, we really do have a collective mind.

      Sasha Motovylets those habits give us comfort because they are old even though they are dysfunctional. Once we break them it’s scary at first but then freeing

    I wish the doctor had been less wordy about mental illness. Seeing that depression and anger are epidemic worldwide and he never even touched on it. It’s nice to say get in the loop and make a pattern but how many of us really can sit down and actually follow that and do what he says…
