@@mikewalters8047 (Wow, this turned into a bit of an essay 😂 You can pretty much get what I’m saying by the first paragraph if you can’t be bothered reading the rest) The problem is, that’s not going to be enough. They were slowly building a fan base when everyone had access to it, but once it was taken away, people obviously stopped watching. The vast majority of those people won’t invest the time all over again to get up to date with the current product, even if it did move, so besides maybe the first couple of shows which people will view more out of curiosity, they are unlikely to invest their time in the product all over again so the numbers the show was getting when it left TH-cam will be far more than what it would be if it came back. A wrestling show where you’ve no personal investment in any of the characters or stories isn’t the same, which is why even though for years now, TNA has been putting out a consistently good product, they’ve never been able to get close to the stage where they were in the mid 2000’s viewer wise, and even the excellent shows people watched out of curiosity/nostalgia when certain wrestlers appeared on the show or when it went back to TNA, the quality of the show didn’t equate to continued viewership. It’s the same with AEW at the moment. It’s been putting on really good shows with really good stories for a while, but the boring (at best) patch it hit previously lost so many viewers who aren’t likely to come back anytime soon. The WWE is the one company that can kind of get away with it as they have been around so long, have such a presence and name in the industry that even if they lose viewers (which they absolutely did month after month for many years in the final years of Vince’s reign), they are in the best position to win those viewers back or gain new ones. TNA and AEW had their chances when they were an alternative, lost so much when they tried being ‘WWE lite’ and, despite their improvements, will aways have that stain on the product which will keep many people away. NWA moving back to TH-cam would be the equivalent. It’ll always have that stain attached to it and is in the absolute worst position to attract new viewers, so will be heavily reliant on winning old ones back…something which I just can’t see being the case
Actually my man tk killed nwa and roh lol so he’s the modern day Vince in that aspect of it all. Much like wcw was a shell of its former self is same as what roh was at the time when tk bought it out. He might as well buy the nwa logo and some library lmao. NWA - Ring Of Honor 😱

Too bad, in 2019 every Wednesday morning I was watching the premiere of the weekly NWA Powerrr episode (since in France it started on the morning) before going to work, that was my favorite wrestling show at the time COVID and TV deals really screwed them, and deleting all former episodes on TH-cam didn't help, now I don't even keep up with the news
The thing that really killed nwa was covid…I remember in the winter of 2019 I actually looked forward to nwas weekly shows on TH-cam as it offered something different from what aew and wwe were doing, a lil more old school. They had a good roster of established and young talent and I was excited for their future…then covid shut everything down and some of the important nwa talent went elsewhere and they just couldn’t pick up the momentum they had going into 2020. I’ve tried going back once in a while to watch it but it’s just really fell off.
They got less recognizable too. At one point you had Aldis as the champ and an oldschool feel to the show, Question Mark was the "goofiest" thing on it, then NWA got trashier over time. I think the final nail in the coffin was making Talentless Tyrus the champion, at that point you're begging the audience not to care.
It kinda blows my mind to think that a PPV that happened barely a month ago might end up being lost media, unless someone cares enough to buy Corgan out and make use of the tape library... assuming they're actually keeping their own tape library and didn't stupidly allow CW to maintain an archive for them. Which they probably did.
@@stingersplash Well I'm not gonna call it a premium live event like WWE does now, since I doubt there was anything premium about it. Maybe we can say that PPV stands for "probably painful viewing" in this case.

From how I understand it, WEDU's studios would be just a taping space for Powerrr, similar to how Georgia Public Broadcasting in Atlanta leased out their studios for Powerrr and other TV production (i.e. Divorce Court, Lauren Lake's Paternity Court, Couples Court with the Cutlers). So I can't imagine Powerrr just being on WEDU's website. But who really knows where it will end up.
For NWA,things would mightily shake up if One-Night-Only ex-NWA champion Shane Douglas would suddenly show up and announce that he's now the new manager of NWA and would radically change things up,which is what the NWA sorely needs in making it watchable again(with Dave Laguna gone[during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, and both Nick Aldis and Kamille stealing all of the attention via their lengthy title reigns).
I keep up with NWA......... before the move to CW, it was "Hush Hush" up until the move. Allegedly, there were other deals being made to move the show to........ but they've not announced yet, as I THINK they have to wait til next week til the CW deal ends.
The studio usage doesn’t mean they’re going on PBS. Their 1st shows were filmed in the Georgia Public Television studios, despite not being on GA PBS stations. Just a cheap studio to rent
Ever Since Ricky Starks,LA Knight, James Storm, Kamille & Nick Aldis Left NWA Never Been The Same Since To Be Honest Besides EC3,Trevor Murdoch, Rodney Mack & Damien Sandow I Don’t Know Who Most Of The Wrestlers They Have On The Roster Became Nobody On The Roster Truly Stands Out For Me
Bring back powerrr as it was on TH-cam it was a refreshing change to the and enjoyable led me to buy the first ppv something i'd never done before. They had something and pissed it away, typical NWA
I loved watching it when it came on Tuesdays at 6.05 on TH-cam. It was great since it had an old school feel, but then COVID hit, and they have not been the same since. They have not be able to escape their COVID growing pains.
I used to go to see Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling/ Jim Crockett Promotions in Fayetteville NC way back in the day when it was a part of the NWA. Good times. I'm glad Billy Corgan bought the NWA. I watched it up until Covid happened when they started charging money. I hope they survive even if they merge with another wrestling promotion. Pro wrestling's not right without the NWA. 😊
Pullling the NWA during the pandemic, which might have been a heyday for exactly the style of studio television wrestling, was the company's first major mistake. I was intrigued by the Carneyland proposition they made in response initially, but then they pulled that too after some scandal or other. That's when I lost interest. Then they lost Nick Aldis, which was the death-knell, because I'm sure he was really running the book behind the scenes. Unless they have some amazing move to get close to where they were on the relaunch, they should sell up to the WWE. I'm primarily an AEW fan, but the WWE is the best home for this IP.
So what soured me on the NWA and made me never want to watch it again was this I started watching NWA on youtube then they moved to the FITE app, I watched it there and purchased the PPV's, then they announced the CW deal and they stopped being on the FITE app, so since I'm from the UK I was unable to watch anything on the CW APP. After the death of Jay Briscoe I wanted to go back and watch some of his NWA matches but ALL the ppv's I purchased from the NWA had been removed. I had spent hundreds of pounds on these ppv's, I contacted FITE support and asked what had happened thinking that it was an error and they'll be available again soon, but FITE had told me that the NWA had removed all content and that I should Contact the NWA. I emailed the NWA and never received a reply.
This is what happens when he doesn't listen to his viewers and instead does shit to spite the ones who aren't 100 percent on board with everything he does.
My understanding is that they are leasing the studio. The network is actually the local PBS station with the call letters WEDU (pronounced W-EDU double u eehDEEYOU)
Until Billy Corgan is removed from power NWA will keep hemoraging money and bouncing form streaming/TV station to station. Corgan has been killing the promotion for a few years now. His leadership is pure garbage. Corgan is the worst leader of a wrestling company maybe ever. To crash it into the ground that fast from its sleight rise has to be a record. Corgan is a headcase and always has been so he will continue to make the promotion a laughing stock of the industry. It all started to go truly bad when Corgan chose to put the title on Tyrus (who is a mediocre to terrible wrestler and is nothing more than a novelty act).
It'd be cool if the NWA talent all went to both ROH & NXT. I'd love to see Kenzie Page and Kerry Morton in ROH and Thom Latimer and Blunt Force Trauma on NXT.
If I were Billy Corgan I'd just give Jim Cornette a big bag of money and let him book. Not even from the perspective of a Corny fan, but he's good at booking w/ limited resources (Plus it'd be interesting to see him put his money with his mouth is.)
Sounds like the NWA is leasing the studio, not like they have a deal. Probably gonna put that content on TH-cam. PBS isn't gonna air a weekly wrestling show. Not even a PBS station in Florida.
NWA definitely needs to stay on TH-cam after getting off the CW network but I would try to make a work in agreement with the TNA wrestling and also at WWE NXT see would have more airtime for the NWA Talent but I don't know if that's going to happen if they're able to go back to TH-cam
I think that Billy Corgan will either cede ownership of the NWA to someone else or drive it into the ground, and, if it is the latter, then that is sad, as it is the foundation of professional wrestling.
There was never a TV deal. It was always a deal to be on the APP. That coke spot at that even had NOTHING to do with anything. Several other wrestling promotions were going for that same deal, ON THE APP. Not for TV.
NWA just needed to stay on TH-cam
Not generating enough revenue.
Agreed and thus they should return to TH-cam.

COVID and TV deals really screwed them, and deleting all former episodes on TH-cam didn't help, now I don't even keep up with the news
Hard to believe they had LA Knight and Ricky Starks. Wow.
what Billy Corgan did, was way faster than Dixie Carter did, kinda ironic
They need a new star to become what Nick Aldis was
It kinda blows my mind to think that a PPV that happened barely a month ago might end up being lost media, unless someone cares enough to buy Corgan out and make use of the tape library... assuming they're actually keeping their own tape library and didn't stupidly allow CW to maintain an archive for them. Which they probably did.
It's not a PPV if you can't pay to see it.
@@stingersplash Well I'm not gonna call it a premium live event like WWE does now, since I doubt there was anything premium about it. Maybe we can say that PPV stands for "probably painful viewing" in this case.
The Billy Corgan Video Is Getting Ignored By The Vince Mcmahon Documentary Series That Came Out On Netflix.
What Billy Corgan video?
The Person Who Owns NWA
@@DanielDeLeon69 I know. I meant what's the video about?
Outside the WWE+AEW(including ROH) bubble, a partnership between [1] National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) owner *Billy Corgan* , [2] Major League Wrestling (MLW) owner *Court Bauer* , [3] Maple Leaf 🍁 Pro (MLP)Wrestling owner, promoter under the Pro Wrestling Alliance and former TNA Wrestling President *Scott D'Amore* , [4] United Wrestling Network (UWN) Professional Wrestling Governing Authority and MLW Head of Production *Dave Marquez* and [5] Progress Wrestling+DEFY Wrestling owners *Lee McAteer, Martyn Best, Matt Farmer and Jim Perry* should be done to create a 24/7 Pro Wrestling streaming platform.
This 24/7 Pro Wrestling streaming platform would showcase live events, PPV events and archived episodes of the *National Wrestling Alliance* (NWA Powerrr, NWA Exodus Pro MidWest, NWA JCP Southeast, NWA Chicago & NWA Kross Fire),
*Major League Wrestling* , *Pro Wrestling Alliance* (MLP Wrestling, Oceania Pro Wrestling & Qatar Pro Wrestling), the *United Wrestling Network* (Championship Wrestling, Memphis Wrestling & Derby City Wrestling), and *Progress Wrestling+DEFY Wrestling* .
NWA is off CW app as of the end of this month. NWA was such a great show and then COVID just ruined it for them. May as well run back to YT.
Say what you want about the NWA, but nobody even knew it still existed prior to Billy Corgann buying it.
The Bully PS2 game theme playing the background 😂😢😅
I keep up with NWA......... before the move to CW, it was "Hush Hush" up until the move. Allegedly, there were other deals being made to move the show to........ but they've not announced yet, as I THINK they have to wait til next week til the CW deal ends.
NWA on PBS be like: Funding for NWA Powerrr has been sponsored by viewers like you ...THANK YOU
The studio usage doesn’t mean they’re going on PBS. Their 1st shows were filmed in the Georgia Public Television studios, despite not being on GA PBS stations. Just a cheap studio to rent
Saw them earlier this year . Friggin amazing show . Wish people would support them more
NWA did that to themselves honestly, no one told them to air that segment. When you get a deal like that you supposed to clean up your image.
NWA lost it momentum during the pandemic plus they lost tons of guys to the AEW & the WWE
They had something and pissed it away, typical NWA
im surprised NWA hasnt been bankrupt
they been in trouble since covid hit
NWA inpowered needs a revival
I loved watching it when it came on Tuesdays at 6.05 on TH-cam. It was great since it had an old school feel, but then COVID hit, and they have not been the same since. They have not be able to escape their COVID growing pains.
It would ironic if Billy sells his company to tna
NWA is cooked
It's W E D U. Those are the station call letters. Like BBC in the UK
Making Talentless Tyrus the champ was begging the audience to stop watching, and having EC3 as champ was begging them to never watch again.
They need to stay in a studio setting. It was successful that way back in the 70s/80s when I started watching it.
For the love of pro wrestling, don’t let Tony Khan buy it.
NWA should air in movie theaters
So what soured me on the NWA and made me never want to watch it again was this
I started watching NWA on youtube then they moved to the FITE app, I watched it there and purchased the PPV's, then they announced the CW deal and they stopped being on the FITE app, so since I'm from the UK I was unable to watch anything on the CW APP.
Dude it's over for them😂😂😂😂😂
My understanding is that they are leasing the studio. The network is actually the local PBS station with the call letters WEDU (pronounced W-EDU double u eehDEEYOU)
Ev3 should've stayed in impact once he got released again instead of doing cyn
I went to NWA 76 with a friend of mine and today we were talking about when is that footage coming out? And now I see this 😅
Another nail in the coffin for Pro Wrestling why we pay for another App we wouldn't
Yep. I watched every week on TH-cam. I haven’t seen it since.
The NWA wrestling promotion should go to Paramount Network and Paramount +
Well they can't just go to a streaming service because they want too, Paramount would have to actually want to air their product...why would they?
That coke spot with James Mitchell really came back to haunt them.
Leaving youtube was a mistake
Powerrr free on TH-cam was surely unsustainable long term. They were trying to build an audience and leading to a PPV right as the pandemic hit.
Boy, I feel like I have a video about this...
I have a PBS login! All you have to do is donate to your local station.
Problem with TH-cam is the monetization
Corgan should just sell the belts to someone who will keep them alive...
So today might not be the greatest day
Until Billy Corgan is removed from power NWA will keep hemoraging money and bouncing form streaming/TV station to station.
NWA is a Zombie, it'll never die
😆
WEDU is a set of initials, not an acronym. PBS is the American answer to public television.
It'd be cool if the NWA talent all went to both ROH & NXT. I'd love to see Kenzie Page and Kerry Morton in ROH and Thom Latimer and Blunt Force Trauma on NXT.
Unfortunately the former Bram will NEVER work in WWE again, thanks to his ugly, public breakup with Charlotte Flair.
Put all the CW episodes on TH-cam now
If I were Billy Corgan I'd just give Jim Cornette a big bag of money and let him book.
They also need to get some sponsors to bring in some more cash to the company. If OVW can get them so can NWA.
They just Aired NWA 76 on their Twitter
I guess NWA in CW is not a good idea after all
They need to bring nwa back to youtube
NWA definitely needs to stay on TH-cam after getting off the CW network but I would try to make a work in agreement with the TNA wrestling and also at WWE NXT see would have more airtime for the NWA Talent but I don't know if that's going to happen if they're able to go back to TH-cam
It'd be awesome seeing NWA working with TNA and NXT, all 3 places putting on shows would be cool. Imagine a PPV/PLE with all 3 together or something.
Update as of 9/25: NWA is live taping at WEDU 10/5 & 10/6
I think that Billy Corgan will either cede ownership of the NWA to someone else or drive it into the ground, and, if it is the latter, then that is sad, as it is the foundation of professional wrestling.
N(C)WA, the pando really wrecked WPC and that table "bump" didn't help matters.
If NWA folds then NXT should scoop ThrillBilly
Plus they have been signing alot of people to contracts
NWA has taken TNAs spot of "how the fuck do they still exist?"
There was never a TV deal. It was always a deal to be on the APP. That coke spot at that even had NOTHING to do with anything. Several other wrestling promotions were going for that same deal, ON THE APP. Not for TV.
