Ive never denied Messi as being a great player cause at the end of the day, he is. But i always placed CR7 at the top cause he is a specimen. Physically he is fit, even at 36. The height he gets when he goes for headers is insane. He also has incredible speed and obvious skill with the ball. He has performed phenomenally in every club he has been in scoring at least 100+ goals and being the top scorer in champions w. 5 titles under his belt. Most importantly, is his dedication, work ethic and leadership qualities he displays, where he is even teaching his son those qualities. An incredible player.

I was a kid when Ronaldo and Messi started their careers. And i loved them both through their careers, but CR7 will always have a special place in my heart. Messi has always had the edge on him if we are talking about pure and raw football talent and this is the reason why if i have to choose between them i'll always pick Cristiano. He had to put hard work to reach, and for long periods overcome, Messi talent. First at arrive, last to leave. Never left a pitch without putting max effort. And a true leader, never seen him give up before the end of a match. And i don't know why but the rush of adrenaline that this guy give me during games and the way he gives me hope even in difficult games is something else. Messi never did this for me.
