Dear FIA, 1. Fewer street tracks. Keep Monaco, Singapore, Jeddah, Baku and that's it. 2. Bring back the V10's. 3. Stop adding races in America. Take away Miami and Vegas and add Watkins Glen or Laguna Seca, or make a cool street track in Manhattan that can have good racing and isn't just a celebrity pow-wow with ticket prices being 5K for a hotdog. 4. Make the cars smaller and lighter. This makes for much better battles and overtakes. 5. Have Brazil be the final race of the season. Its just good for racing. There are so many overtaking opportunities on that track and if we ever have an Abu Dhabi 2021 situation again it would be more exciting to have a track where you can actually overtake. 6. Bring back Germany, Malaysia, Turkey, and South Africa and take out tracks like Vegas, Miami, and Abu Dhabi. 7. Make a sustainable calendar. Make sure you're not flying halfway across the world for a race just to fly halfway across the world for the next race. 8. Just be consistent. Please. Thank you for your time
Monaco needs to go. Qualifying is fun, but the cars are way to big to race around there. the racing in Vegas was pretty good, so I would not mind if it stayed, even tho I would rather like to see a proper race track in its place
V10s are never coming back. FIA/F1 want OEMs and last time I checked, the only production V10 from a major OEM in 2024 is Ford and only for gigantic trucks. You can still get the Judd V10 in a McLaren, but I think that's it.
Can’t they not have same race stewards at each race to. Let’s have at least some consistency with the enforcement of the rules with F1. Also, would like them to try and have a traveling safety team with the series similar to INDYCAR
I do agree it's a good idea. The problem with that is the costs involved. Indycar and NASCAR are able to do this because they are both national series, so it's logistically and financially more feasible. It's unrealistic to assume the FIA will be happy to foot the travelling costs for the stewards and a dedicated medical team, although they really should.
Ya it cant be like other sports that have hundreds of games anually, where you need a bunch of stewards. Just have them be consistent for 24 events. At this point it can most probably be done remotely as well, but it needs to be consistent.
@@kuroneko9270 There are only 4 stewards each race, so that isn't really an issue. And if you want to keep 1 steward from the local area to with track knowledge so they can better take into account the unique circumstances of each track, you only need to pay the travel costs of 3 stewards that are there for all 24 races.
And since we get a safety car for every single DNF nowadays we can safely say that if the racing hadn't been so ridiculously close and unpredictable, we would be faling a sleep during every race. We would have had the worst and most boring season to date. We really are lucky. There is nothing, but also really nothing extraordinary happening in F1 anymore. Remember what Murray Walker used to say: 'Anything can happen in Formula 1 and it usually does.' That's become: Anything could happen in Formula 1 and it usually did.
This is precisely why I like Formula E, say what you will about the series (it's probably right) but the racing itself is often extremely close and unpredictable. For me it went from "Anything can happen in Formula 1 and it usually does" to "Quite literally anything can happen in Formula E and it almost always does." Some form of contact is almost guaranteed... And we usually see drivers pull off seemingly impossible moves. (for example, Robin Frinjs overtaking Alex Lynn on the inside of Tabac around Monaco for the Envision Virgin team for P11 during the 2019 season.) Edit: One thing you cannot say about FE is that going to a race is as unaffordable as Formula 1. I've gone to the season finale weekend at London for every season there was a London E-Prix and grandstand tickets along the start / finish straight were ranged from £60 per ticket for a whole day to £100 depending on the tier of seating you picked. With general admission, entertainment between sessions and driver autograph sessions included. And the three weekend tickets for the upcoming 2025 season finale weekend for me and my partners (which have now sold out) were £72 per day each.

I agree with mr. Sulayem on one thing - the deal with FOM is very bad for FIA. FOM takes all the money and FIA gets all criticism for regulating the sport poorly. It's an uneven setup and FIA should get a bigger slice of the money pool. FIA can say - you get the treatment you pay for. One other thing is lamentable - Sulayem was a rally driver and he didn't do anything to lift WRC up. Moreover, there used to be WTCC certified by FIA and touring car racing died down on their watch. FIA hasn't been too successful in the last years, they are just keeping the status quo and over time, burning fuel for entertainment will be getting even fewer enthusiasts.

Also don't forget the Dutch GP will probably be canceled after 2025 too. The contract is running out and the owner of the track said the outlook for a new contract isn't looking good
Pirelli were instructed by FOM and FiA to make the tyres less consistent to increase the spectacle and tempt the teams into risky strategies for greater reward. So yes, FiA can be blamed. The 18 inch wheels are no the issue - there are plenty of series using similar wheel and tyre sizes without issue. It's not like the 18 inch wheels have a 5mm rubber band around them like a Brumie street racer with more stolen cash than talent. Most mummy wagons have less rubber around the wheels than F1.
MBS has taken the FIA to all new lows for the sake of clout and cash I guess? Improving safety, while also ignoring safety issues related to old sore wounds, will always astound me. The inconsistent nature of enforcing the FIA rules has always been atrocious, in my opinion. The 'idea' of the FIA is great, in reality the execution has lot sight of the reasons why we needed something like the FIA for motorsport. Unfortunately, just like motorsport, cash and greed have become deep-rooted in all facets of the FIA. I don't believe all FIA employees are evil, selfish, and/or only motivated by their own self interests, but I believe most of the leadership is and doesn't sway or influence the staff do anything morally or factually better.
Ben Sulayen is the Roger Goodell of auto racing. Always making the sport "safer and funner" by taking away all the things that made the sport actually fun in the first place.
To be honest, the British media (and the media in general) is indeed dumb af too. That doesn't exonerate MBS. For example: Hamilton cried racism because MBS said swearing is prevalent in rapping. Sure, MBS is dumb af for being so butthurt over swearing, but let's be honest, that particular remark wasn't racist. But Lewis has a victim complex, but the media (and especially the British) never even try to talk about how ridiculous that is
Of those 9 races how many were actually interesting to watch? If drivers can't overtake, won't overtake due to ambiguous rules, are we really watching racing anymore...to be fair I have only watched the last 6 races...I say watch, but I fell asleep through each one of them so I may not be a fair judge, or maybe that makes my point for me...

0:24 Okay, I have to confess, that is a really old Markiplier video but I still think of it a lot and it is really hilarious to me that you referenced it! 😂😂😂
To be fair, the British media tend to vilify anyone in sport that isn't British, so he's not wrong. Sky has their favourites, and if you're not on that extremely short list you're immediately painted as the bad guy. All it takes is one of their favourites to say something, even taken out of context, about someone. Then Kravitz and Crofty go on a crusade to vilify and crucify that person, before even getting context. Every single Briton that pays even a smidge of attention to F1 was calling this guy out from day 1, because Sky started their tirade against him. They never even gave him a chance to do anything with the sport, everything he does, yes including breathing, is wrong. It's the exact same with Max, Fernando, Checo, Oscar, and Lance. It was similar with Mick, Nikita and pretty much any other driver that wasn't British or Scottish (or drove for whatever team Lewis drove for at the time). Another garbage hit piece from a biased British F1 fan who can't think for themselves because Kravitz and Crofty are the end-all be-all of F1 commentary.
You're the only version of F1 that I watch now as it literally sucks a$$. As with all professional sports it is more about the advertising and rating than the sport itself. Ever since they signed up to Netflix the show has been nothing but a shitshow... But hey!...How else are they going to get viewers?.... one step forward and 2 steps back seems like the motto for the F.I.A
Also don't forget the Dutch GP will probably be canceled after 2025 too. The contract is running out and the owner of the track said the outlook for a new contract isn't looking good
Yes, because of financial reasons, not because of the FIA...
You're my favourite journalist man, keep up thr work 😂
I am watching this video on 2x speed with subway surfers and skibidi minion on the side.
The FIA have done a great job in WEC because they ACO know what they are doing, but left WRC to basically die.
FIA should focus on keeping the races safe and fair(ish)
Pirelli were instructed by FOM and FiA to make the tyres less consistent to increase the spectacle and tempt the teams into risky strategies for greater reward. So yes, FiA can be blamed. The 18 inch wheels are no the issue - there are plenty of series using similar wheel and tyre sizes without issue. It's not like the 18 inch wheels have a 5mm rubber band around them like a Brumie street racer with more stolen cash than talent. Most mummy wagons have less rubber around the wheels than F1.
F1 lost all its Glam when liberty media took it over . Now it's hour of click bait drama
Moto GP will go the same way. Liberty = counters of beans.
Ben stop groping drivers it doesn't give you their skill, I get why you want some skill because you have none but that's not how it works.
Ben Sulayen is the Roger Goodell of auto racing. Always making the sport "safer and funner" by taking away all the things that made the sport actually fun in the first place.
This is the most factual video on TH-cam.
No, MBS, we the people have convicted you lol.
Meanwhile, the WRC is functionally dead.
But Lewis has a victim complex, but the media (and especially the British) never even try to talk about how ridiculous that is
Oh don't worry, it could be MUCH worse, NASCAR and FIM worse.
Pretty sure I've seen footage of Romain getting his drive in a Merc
Can't we just leave racecars racecars.... You want to save the planet crack down on ocean shipping ffs.
FIA sorting their problems from least > most hard and are working down the list slowly.
LMAO nearly the entire video, top job!
Another fp1will video lets go
FIA sucks... a few years ago secret deals with Ferrari, they are rubish... more on the ish side....
arabs know little or nothing about motorsport, and that is a fact. But hey, here come the hordes of simpletons who want to accuse anyone of racism. How this poor excuse for a human being is the head of the FIA is deeply disturbing and wrong on every level
The worse part is that this guy is trying to represent islam while literally not following the basics or fundamentals. Everyone has their own right but at least don't drag our name
Lay off my boy logan hes been through enough 😢😂
Obviously Milo was cooler but I didn't know we had beef with Jake from the tweenies XD
Grid Girls ! ! ! Bring back Grid Girls ! ! ! Formula One is a sport for single males for the most part. Stop shoving these little kids in there. Gross. Grid Girls, Grid Girls, Grid Girls!
Gave a thumbs just from the title. This gonna be a great 9 minutes 🥳🍿
I love racing and f1 but would it be the worst thing for us for a collapse followed by a couple weak years followed by a revival? I dont think they will do anything great for the sport until they feel it in the money
0:24 Okay, I have to confess, that is a really old Markiplier video but I still think of it a lot and it is really hilarious to me that you referenced it! 😂😂😂
Much has this over Strictly any day, every day, what's Strictly :)
the fia is needs a good boss, some one who knows how to make long-term fans and money
well FIA and F1 need to short it out
just got here after they scrapped the fastest lap point. wtf are they doing
The FIA under Ben Sulayem has turned F1 into a joke.
Aziz the combat fighter
Tyres and poor racing is down to the FIA's stupid spec, not Pirelli.
Dude went in hard on poor Jake
Great commentary on thi👏
'Gone' lol
It’s a banger FP1Will
Noooo
I don't want Jacques Villeneuve in hell!!!
You're the only version of F1 that I watch now as it literally sucks a$$. As with all professional sports it is more about the advertising
and rating than the sport itself. Ever since they signed up to Netflix the show has been nothing but a shitshow... But hey!...How else are
they going to get viewers?.... Controversy ...Drama... you know all the things of a good crime series.
What exactly is wrong with Jake from the Tweenies?
