I did hear about a law that is coming to Germany in the near future about being able to bring our parents to migrate and stay with us in Germany permanently, and thus I was wondering if this will also be coming to Austria in the near future and, if so, how soon will it be. I think, NO European countries would encourage bringing in aged Expat workers parents in to the country, because almost retired or retired people would be a big burden to the country, and tax payers. The immigrant worker has to totally take responsibility, to meet all medical , and social care expenses ( medical bills are whopping expensive here without any medical insurance). Not many insurance companies would want aged people to take medical insurance from them. I am living in Belgium past many years, and never seen Indians or other expats from Non EU countries bringing their parents in here permanent. Can you imagine, all expats, immigrants from all over bringing in their parents or whole family to the host country?? Not possible. Yes, wife, husbands, and children can join in on depended visa ( younger people can easily take all kinds of insurance), they expect the dependents also to work in the country and pay taxes contributing to the economy
