Comrie Pipe Band March into St James Sq Crieff playing before the 2023 Crieff Highland Gathering

Comrie Pipe Band, led by Pipe Major Willie Nicol, playing as they marched into St James Square in Crieff. This was in the evening on Thursday 17th August 2023 and the last of their weekly displays in Crieff on the build up to the 2023 Crieff Highland Gathering.
The band, who wear Ancient Strathearn tartan, were playing The pass of Brander (9/8), Lonely Loch Nan Eun (slow air) and The sweet maid of mull (6/8). The 9/8 was composed by the late Dr Bruce Thompson from Crieff , who also composed a 4/4 time tune called Comrie Pipe Band.
