I don't see anything but the etrex surviving a crash. It's also the only one that will be usable in wet conditions. They aren't pretty but they're tough and they work well. Definitely use it together with Garmin Basecamp though.
@@endurojitsu3804 ended up buying both. Sold the Zumo. The Montana is much better plus the InReach capability. For better results I believe a tablet with OnX loaded is better, and for the ultimate results Torx system in a rally tower I think it’s best.
There is a "powerparts" GPS mount for the handlebar with common pattern, and then you can just screw the plate you get with Zumo. Friend is using the same thing on his EXC 450. I guess flipping the bike, only eTrex or GPSMAP would survive :) You can also check Perun's handlebar mounts: www.perunmoto.com/collections/universal-products

They way he has it you are right. I have my iphone the big one mounted so no matter how I lay the bike down it wont touch the phone.
On etrex live tag name with automatic suggestion by Garmin, after at home you can rename it.
Hi.

Can you please tell me what mount do you have for the etrex? Great video by the way!
Thanks mate. There is a bicycle mount from Garmin - very small piece of plastic that you mount with two zip ties
@@endurojitsu3804 thank you for the reply!
but etrex is impossible to see in sunlight and requires intense training to use it . Let alone more money if you want it outside the USA
Please tell me what mount you have for the Zumo? Been looking for something like that.

@@endurojitsu3804 Awesome thanks so much! Can you elaborate on the powerparts GPS mount? I did check out perunmoto though.
Do you know the distance between the handlebar mount holes on that bracket? I want to order but not sure it fits my 450.
